"Comfortable stay at a traditional village hotel"

8.0

Friendly staff. Plenty of free parking. Nice pub and courtyard. A nice alternative to budget chain hotels.

"Ideal for what was needed but breakfast was poor"

Location

£10 breakfast that wasn’t told was ‘continental’ and only being a choose of two cereals, toast and yogurt. Plus A CUP of tea.

"Adequate for a few nights"

7.0

The Cherry Tree is in a convenient location with free ample parking, I only stayed 1 night in a large double ensuite room with a comfortable bed. It was during very hot weather and they provided a fan. The staff were very friendly. I had a cooked breakfast which was a bit overdone but tasty enough.

The shower head fell off

A lovely comfy bed in a very well appointed room. I liked the tea and coffee and the kettle. Best of all, a hairdryer!

Nothing.

Comfortable room, good evening meal, continental breakfast was adequate but could have been more interesting.

"Just fine."

8.0

The location was fine. A very pleasant little village. An old building means nothing will be perfect. The pub had a very pretty patio garden for eating outside. A good sized car park. But I feel £10 is a bit steep for a continental breakfast, and, given the price of the room, should have been included. I wasn't sure whether this was to be served in my room, or in a dining room. So I declined breakfast. (Mondays is never a good evening to stay anywhere and I have had a dismal experience elsewhere). It was a place to stay overnight and for that it was just fine.

Toiletries = lovely. In the room tea/coffee selection = very boring. Someone needs to clean the windows!
