stayed one night on business trip, excellent food, beer, wine and service. will be back !

Enjoyed the privacy in the separate accommodation block, and freedom to come and go as we pleased.

We very much enjoyed our overnight stay at the Horseshoe. All staff were most pleasant and helpful. Our room (in the adjacent former school house) though small was pleasantly furnished and most comfortable. We thought the bathroom while satisfactory was not as well appointed and was very small. Our evening meal was of a high standard accompanied by a wine list of good choice and value. All drinks prices were reasonable. Breakfast the next morning was also very good. We would certainly consider returning if back in the area.

Clean, comfortable room with lovely furnishings and many nice touches, like the caramel wafers and tunnocks teacakes! Very pet friendly accommodation and dining. Many thanks for this!

it is a very characterful property. as a result some of the ceilings are very low and the stairs not easy to manage.

Whilst about 4 miles out of Peebles it had a very good restaurant, without having to drive else where.

Really lovely place to stay. We were surprised at how beautiful the local area was and how much there was to see. The Inn is lovely built 1862 and conveniently on the main road (although sleeping quarters are set well back). Good job that there were brown signs to guide us into the car park! Our room was lovely and the bed was one of the comfiest I have slept in. The food was really good - a cut above normal pub food - we ate every meal there! The people are very friendly and we were very impressed with the waiting staff who were friendly and chatty. The restaurant gets very busy even during weekday evenings so it's a good idea to book as it is very popular with the locals! Good beer too.
