The Royal Oak - Inn

Lovely little pub and the food in the restaurant was great. The rooms however, have paper thin walls. The guest in the room next to ours left the TV on all night and it was like it was in our room. Even the sound of a spoon in a cup being stirred could be heard. It was a nice place and the location suited us, but it was a sleepless night and so we wouldn’t stay again.

Very Spacious room and bathroom with large shower. Comfortable king size bed. Fridge for cooling drinks and Fan provided, appreciated as it was very warm weather. Parking outside own front door. Generous good quality tea/coffee making in room. Excellent breakfast . Friendly staff who recommended good restaurant not far away for a meal because theirs is closed on Sunday evening. Quiet, even though location is very close for M1 and East Midlands airport.

Bedside lights didn’t work, so I mentioned this to staff at breakfast. They were glad I let them know and would get it fixed.

Excellent stay, great staff and lovely accomodation. The breakfast was superb and bar and dinning area really relaxing ! Would definitely stay again and would recommend without hesitation ! Many thanks

Great room, good breakfast, lovely decor, parking right outside the room, duvet too hot & not enough tea bag’s & a bit tight with the biscuits but other with that, would stay again

Rooms were very comfortable and food delicious

Bed and breakfast was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Our second stay and will definitely be back again.

Lovely cooked options for breakfast. There was a lack of fresh fruit decent yogurt & healthy options if you didn't want cooked food. Tinned fruit not appealing! A small criticism ...everything else was great! Thankyou

Lovely pub in a nice village setting.

It’s over priced as the rooms need a revamp to command the price I paid!

Excellent accessories a fan, heater fridge and the sweetest mini iron board and they provided an extra top sheet to use instead of a duvet as it was exceptionally warm.
