The Royal Oak - Inn

Lovely place to stay. Each room has its own front door onto the car park. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The food and drink in the pub is really nice and the breakfast is brilliant. Will stay again if in the area.

As normal it was a lovely stay, A different room for me but almost as nice. the facilities where just as good.

They had taken advantage of their flooding disaster to completely update all their facilities . Result - first class

Room comes with everything you might need for a short stay. Appreciated the addition of the desk fan as it was warm. Breakfast was delicious as were the dinners we had in the restaurant. Ample parking.

Towel replacement could be better. Even when we left damp towels on the floor to be replaced; these were hung up again for reuse. The kitchen closes at 9am for breakfast which we found very early and it meant we missed a couple.

Bathroom had funny smell, low water pressure in shower, towels thin

Super clean, quiet and only 10 mins to where we needed to be

Food was excellent, we had evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and was excellent. Room was clean, spacious and comfy, with a fan available (hot weekend). Staff we all very friendly and helpful, and really appreciated a call in the morning we were due to check-in to let me know the restaurant was getting booked and ask if we were planning to eat there so they booked a table.

Mattress was a little lumpy, but nothing that caused us any problems or discomfort
