Breakfast was exceptionally good and staff catered for my and my wife's needs

The duvet was rather warm/heavy for spring/ summer use as the evening was mild

I rellt liked The Talbot, the staff are amazing. The food is very good.

Full of character and in a superb location.

Very good, central location, parking nearby. Excellent breakfast. Staff were generally lovely and the live singer and DJ on NYE were very good.

Room was comfy but a bit tired and the shower room needs some TLC. On NYE, we went down to the bar just after 7pm, looking forward to the entertainment we'd seen advertised on posters and fliers. All the tables seemed to be reserved but a member of staff, seeing me with a walking stick, seated us a table near the bar. At 9pm, however. the Acting Manager tried to shift us out of the bar where the entertainment was into the cold dining room because he'd reserved the table they'd put us on for his mother and her partner. I felt this was unacceptable as we were residents and had previously received a telephone call to say they could not honour the dinner reservation we'd made as the kitchen would be closed. I was told that we could avail ourselves of a buffet at a small charge and I said that that would be fine but we were not told we needed to book a table. He didn't even approach me himself but sent a young barmaid to ask us to move. I refused as the dining room was very cold and away from the entertainment. We ended up sharing the table with his mother, who was obviously miffed, although her partner was more sociable. This experience was upsetting and spoilt an otherwise enjoyable stay. I don't think management should be favouring family over paying guests, it's not professional.

Really good location, right at the top end of town so you could walk the town up and down and absorb Ledbury. Hotel/pub was old world, so full of character. Bedroom 14 was big, walk, relaxing and quiet. The mattress had a join in the middle, but we slept well. We would definitely stay again

The mattress had a join in the middle where they were pushed together, but we slept good anyway. Most hotels do this, so nothing unusual.

The room was very spacious with solid furniture and a bigger than average bed Breakfast was cooked to order and done well Staff were friendly and knowledgeable
