Clean, comfortable and well organised

Quite a walk from the harbour

We arrived very early but as our room was ready we were allowed to settle in so we could spend extra time exploring Ilfracombe.Everything about this lovely place was great from the free cake every day to the breakfast hampers (The breakfasts were gorgeous both days )and the table tennis and pool tables and the honesty bar.

There was nothing to not like. The town is at the bottom of the hill so you will be half dead after a couple of days but you do get used to it eventually but that's just how Ilfracombe is....hilly lol.

The host was fantastic. We really liked the breakfast served and had variety of options to choose from (the delicious complementary cakes baked by the host deserve a special mention!). The rooms was clean. The guest house also has a beautiful garden to sit in. I would recommend staying here if coming to Ilfracombe. Also only a 15 min drive to Woolacombe beach, which is lovely!

I would recommend getting here by car, the public transport options aren't very frequent.

Well located for access to local shopping and services. Owners were lovely - attentive but not overbearing or intrusive. Tea, coffee and soft drinks provided on tap FOC and the free cake was marvelous.

Breakfast was excellent and there was a good range to choose from

Our room was like an oven due to it being at the top of the house, however, we stayed during a heat wave. It wasn't the fault of the host but it it made sleeping etc very difficulty.

Creaking floorboards of room above . But this is an old property so difficult to rectify.

Lovely and clean. Great additions in the room for example the coffee machine, fan. The lounge was lovely with tea, coffee and cake. Fantastic hosts, warm and welcoming Had a very peaceful and comfortable nights sleep The changes we had to request for breakfast due to having to work early, were met with no issue at all.

Absolutely nothing was not to like

Everything expected and more was available. Spacious & clean room with comfortable bed. Great choice of breakfast delivered to the room. Cathy was about & very helpful. Also makes great cake for afternoon tea. Lyndon, Lynmouth, Woolacombe etc close enough for easy drive or bus. 😁😁

I would suggest parking on the road which was very easy if a nervous driver. I’m sure after your 1st attempt to use the car park it wouldn’t bother too much.
