"Lovely little B&B / pub"

Lovely pub and B&B. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were going to a wedding nearby in Otterburn and they happily provided us with some taxi numbers to pre-book before we arrived, as well as lending us an iron/ironing board during the stay too so we could de-crease after travelling. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable with a nice mattress topper on, and breakfast was lovely. Ensuite was a little pokey but adequate. Overall a really nice stay.

It was excellent except for their on-suite bathrooms. Very small. It certainly was a challenge using this facility. The staff, food were excellent. Will definitely stay again.

"Very enjoyable stay."

Had a lovely two night stay at the Bay Horse Inn. We stayed in room 6, the biggest room which was very comfortable. Good reasonably priced food with large portions. Lots of places nearby to visit including towns like Hexham, and the countryside of the Northumberland National Park. Enjoyed a visit to the village of Rothbury. We’re made very welcome, as was our dog. Highly recommended. We look forward to visiting again.

"Great service "

Lovely little place in a beautiful setting. Room was comfortable and worth the price. Service at breakfast was fantastic. Only negative was that I was woken at 6.30am by a very loud screeching noise which I think was the central heating coming on.

Very disappointed after booking the B&B. Hotels.com CLEARLY states that NO prepayment was going to be taken and that it was a PAY AT THE PROPERTY! The B&B took payment straight away which I didn’t want to happen. We hardly slept at all in room 1 because of a very noisy water/flushing sound. This noise happened every few minutes ALL NIGHT!! Then to find out that breakfast was only served between 8-9am……. Absolutely ridiculous. I will not recommend this place to anyone
