Hampton Inn & Suites Houghton

I was concerned about whether or not our room had been cleaned prior to our stay. There was long black hairs in the bathroom that wasn’t ours. Plus the toilet paper rolls didn’t have the finished point that is usually in an unused room.

This hotel seems brand new. It’s right on the water. The people were nice. Parking was easy. The room was large and clean. The bed had good pillows. And the top floor bar was nice.

This was a very nice hotel. Parking was the problem not enough had to walk long distance to get to the hotel. The location was close to what we wanted to do and see in the peninsula. I would go to a Hampton Inn on another occasion.

Beautiful place and view of water. Many nice amenities and a great workout room. It was quiet and a nice location where you could walk downtown and in the park along the water.

Didn’t care for the breakfast eggs. Would have liked more meat choices. I have been to some Hampton Inns with more fruit choices. Bathroom lighting is nice but a small pull out mirror on the wall would be helpful. Would have liked more bang for the buck in the room.

What a difference three years makes. The hotel has been nicely revamped since our last stay. Our room on the top floor with balcony looked out over the waterway and was nicely appointed. The restaurant on the 7th floor is a good spot to enjoy a light meal and drinks. The breakfast was nicely done, and every hotel employee was courteous and friendly. I'd recommend this as a great stay in Houghton and would definitely come back again.
