Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast

No air conditioning

The service and personnel of the hotel were wonderful, always extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet had several options. The hotel location was oK but on a somewhat steep hill.

Hotel instalations are not great - no fans or airconditioning in rooms (despite the heat), curtains are fairly thin which means sunlight wakes you up early, queen bed is more like two beds joined together, bathroom instalations are not great to say the best. Shower has a plastic? curtain, sink has no shelves. Hot water ran out on NYE while taking a shower. Breakfast is served from 6 am to 9 am which is a bit inconvenient for when you want to sleep in.

The service was exceptional - I felt that the personnel does everything (and with a smile) for me to feel me happy. We didn't have a mini-fridge in the room, but they stored our medicines and a small food bag in the kitchen fridge and also filled our water bottles for free. The reception girl always tried to help us with the luggage, which was really nice, but we felt a bit uncomfortable seeing her tries to carry our large suitcases, with which we could deal ourselves. They also agreed to store our luggage for 2 nights we spent in Machu Picchu between two our stays in this hotel, which was really nice as you can't carry huge suitcases on the touristic train. The breakfast selection was not very big, but they always had a hot meal, which was tasty - so we never felt hungry. The location is nice, with great views from the hill over the city, a little quiet street and just a 10-minute walk to the main square. There are also some dining and shopping options nearby.

The sunrise was at 5am and the curtains were not dark enough, so sleeping after 5 was a bit of a challenge. Not a big deal for us, but the wi-fi the connection was not very stable and not very fast - still good to check emails or check in for the flight.

No allowed for late check out or pay almost another night

The staff were very helpful especially with the gluten free needs. The room was very spacey. The fruits and juices at breakfast were great.

Only once very early in the morning the shower didn't work but I am guessing the hotel couldn't do anything about this.

Ideally located on the edge of San Blas and within easy walking distance of Plaza Aramas. Staff couldn't be more helpful, the rooms are well fitted out and the breakfast is very nice. Takeout breakfast provided for early starts. Highly recommend

Low value for money. This is a budget property - worn, discolored towels, cheap limited toiletries, rough toilet paper, pretty basic breakfast with stale bread and very limited hot options (runny scrambled eggs). Main lobby and dining area are pleasant to look at and the elevator works. Water pressure in shower was good, but bathroom is very small with no counter space. Hair dryer plug kept falling out of the socket. Limited staff, often away from the front desk.
