Super nice resort. Remote location, great snorkeling spots

Not nice. If you don't buy the buffet, you are not allowed at all to eat in the restaurant even if it was empty. You need to eat in your room and only from 10am. I wanted to order a coffee before 10 and the manager (I think the older one as the other were like 18 years old) told me NO on the 02 january morning around 7-8am. Unbelievable for a 5 stars ... Then, at 10 am I went to the swimming Pool. NO ONE AT THE BAR SWIMMING POOL...I waited a little bit so staff was late again.. Then I see this man again who was at the restaurant previously working there and I asked just for a coffee, he told me NO again and that I had to order in my room only so i contacted by whatsap the reception. I still have the text message and they told me that from 10am he was supposed to make me a coffee at the pool and then reception called him and he did make the coffee... He lied to the reception and said that I ask for a breakfast at the pool which I didn't, I said clearly that I wanted a coffee or a bottle of water. He just didn't want to do it.This man just didn't want to do his job and since the beguining was against me without any reason especially I am a very polite woman. It is funny because I noticed later on that he was like by magic very smiley and doing too much with some other Italian customers...Last hotel we were was BOPHUT RESORT AND MORACEA HOTEL and was not treated like that... This is clearly not a 5 stars!!!! Also the stairs never end even for a young women like me.it was so hard just to reach the pool or restaurant. The stairs never stopper.. It was so painfull. IF YOU ARE OLD OR WITH HEALTH PROBLEM IT IS GONNA BE A HUGE PAIN FOR YOU. THINK TWICE. Room service finish at 6pm then you are stuck in your room with no food ... ONCE AGAIN THIS IS NOT A 5 STARS SERVICE...

Great time

The sea view is beautiful BUT everywhere you go there are ten's to hundreds of steps. To go from it room to the lobby you have around 200 steps and you get all sweaty and angry. The hotel location is far on the other side of the island.

This hotel is a dream property. I had 5 nights and I cherished every moment. The views are spectacular, every where you go and my room had a wrap around view that couldn't be beat anywhere in the world. Sitting on my balcony taking it all in with such beauty can't be beat. The people that work here are so precious. Nancy at the front desk and Oneil were fantastic .Such great customer care. The dive center was so well run. It was easy to dive with them, they have two very nice boats right here, it was such a pleasure and a breeze. Shout out to Nick and Manny who were my dive buddies, and to the boat captain and helpers, they were WONDERFUL! The restaurant was very generous with the breakfast selections and the food and drinks were excellent, I loved the Lemon sodas, and watermelon juices, the pool bartender knows who I am, YOU took good care of me! Thank you

This property is GORGEOUS and the location stunning and convenient for snorkeling, diving and views. I would say it’s a “must do” destination! The only caveat that I would have is that the rooms are connected by steep stairs and pathways so those with mobility issues would not be happy here unfortunately.

I had an amazing experience overall in this hotel. The views from the hotel are amazing, whether you are on the balcony, by the pool or just walking round the hotel the views are always great. It also has very good snorkelling and diving facilities, with easy access to Shark Bay where you can see turtles and baby sharks. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always making sure we were well taken care of. The food at the hotel was also excellent – everything we tried was delicious and of high quality, though prices were noticeably higher than dining options outside the property. The only real downside is the hotel’s remote location. Apart from one restaurant, there isn’t much within walking distance, so you’ll need to rely on taxis to get around, which can be expensive. It would be great if the hotel added a small shop for essentials like water and snacks. We had to purchase extra water from the restaurant, which wasn’t always convenient. One thing to note is that the property has lots of steps. While we enjoyed the workout, it might not be ideal for everyone. Overall, the hotel is a fantastic choice for those looking to relax and soak in the beauty of Ko Tao. With its incredible views and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place I’d gladly return to – just be prepared for a bit of extra planning if you want to explore the island!

While the property’s location is excellent and it has great views, it costs too much. After a couple of nights elsewhere on the island, I felt there were much better options price wise.

Beautiful view and the new villa rooms are worth it. This hotel does have a lot of steps and requires either a taxi or scooter to get anywhere given the steep hills to get up to the hotel, and it’s quite far from town. The breakfast buffet was not great in comparison to others we’ve had in Thailand but the restaurant’s thai food lunch and dinner options were good. The housekeeping staff were not helpful and all seemed to hide/hang out on their phones on the 3rd floor hallway instead of cleaning rooms. The front desk staff were a little better but the hotel overall definitely lacks a level of customer service. If you’re very into diving and okay with renting/driving a scooter this hotel is a great option, but for those looking for something with less coordination best to book elsewhere.
