It’s really horrible! Dirty ,with dirty beaches With unkind staff. It is really hard to go to your room because of many steps , it is about 200 steps 😭😭 There is no telephone in the rooms It is far from the city and if you want to go there you need to use shuttle or to rent motorcycles It has very small swimming pool

We booked this hotel for a 6-night stay based on the reviews but decided to transfer to another hotel after the third night. The hotel’s aesthetic is impressive—it’s beautiful, and I loved it. Our room was spacious, and we had an ocean view, which was fantastic. However, this hotel wasn’t the right fit for us. It might be better suited for sporty people because it’s quite inconvenient to get around. There are about 400-500 steps from our room to the reception. If your room is in the 501+ range, it might involve fewer steps, but our room number was in the 200s, which was a total pain for my feet. Additionally, the room didn’t have any snacks, beer, or juice. We had to buy our own snacks and drinks since it was inconvenient to go to the restaurant for a beer or wait for room service. The breakfast was the same each day, and by the third day, we chose to eat elsewhere. We also tried lunch at the restaurant, which was okay, but the food lacked flavor. We preferred taking a shuttle to nearby Mae Haad Pier, where there were more dining options with tastier food. Also, there is no direct beach front. We went to the nearby resort, Haad tien and paid 100THB per person as entrance fee.It was beautiful. Overall, the experience was strange. I’m not sure why, but there was an eerie feeling about staying at this hotel. This was our fourth stop on our Thailand vacation, and it’s the only place where I felt something was off.

The free shuttle didn’t have enough space for everyone that arrived at the pier even if we confirmed by email with the hotel prior to arrival. Check in is a mess and they take you around in big groups where you can’t hear what is said. Rooms are getting old and not very well maintained ( we had a villa in the newer section ) In the villa, there is no AC in the living room part and no curtains so it gets quite warm when sunny. The staff is sitting in the stairs watching videos on speaker phones. This is far from a 5stars, a good 3, at best.

This is the first time in my life I'm writing a bad review. My experience was so bad I have to say something. If you are considering staying in this resort - DON'T!! Worst experience ever !!! There was major construction right outside my room, and the hotel did not inform me about it. When I complained about the horrible noise to the manager, she didn't care and told me not to bother her because she is going on vacation!! And the absolute worst part: I am traveling with 3 children. She told me (in the middle of the night) if I am not happy - to look for another hotel !!  WITH ALL HONESTY - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER EXPERIANCED!!

Very beautiful hotel!

Just an incredible hotel in an incredible location. Second time staying at this location. It was just awesome. Stated for 7 nights and had a room on the 3rd floor. Facilities: Pool is fantastic with great views. There is a bar and you can order food and eat it poolside. Rooms are great, I think every room has an ocean view. Restaurant has an extensive menu. I had Pizza and Pad Thai and they both were very delicious. The views of the Bay is absolutely fabulous. Spa: we didn’t use the Spa this time because we were diving but on our last stay we did and it was definitely high quality. Dive Shop: We didn’t use the dive shop but did speak to some of the staff. They did arrange a private boat for snorkeling for me and my friends and my friends loved it. It was an all day around the Island diving tour. Rooms are well equipped, the room did feel a little warm but the staff bought a fan which solved the issue. The balcony is really great. Transportation. Transportation from the ferry is challenging, when you arrive it’s crowded and confusing. The Jamakiri representative is in the waiting area so you have to find him. My experience is best to be patient and come if the boat last so that you avoid all the pushing and showing. Insider Tip: when on Koh Samui I use a local taxi driver that I’ve used for years. His name is Lek +66 81-078-5254. Very reliable he takes me everywhere I need to go. Staff, everyone is absolutely wonderful. A big shout out to Pam at the front desk she is so friendly and very helpful. Yee at the pool bar was on top of his game every day. He figured out what drinks I liked after coming back from diving as I chilled in the pool. Every 30 minutes like clockwork would ask if I’m ready for another beer. The breakfast staff as well is very attentive. The Housekeeping staff is truly amazing, the room was super clean and the housekeeper knew we needed extra towels and it was always in the room. Thank you Jamakiri for a wonderful stay.

Jamahkiri is situated above beautiful Shark Bay. We stayed for 5 nights, and had a nice stay. The hotel room was very big, with beautiful ocean views. It was a bit outdated, but was cleaned very well every day. There`s a lot of steps at this resort, so we got a good workout several times a day. The pool area is nice, and some of the sunbeds have the most beautiful views over Shark Bay. The grounds are very well kept. The pool restaurant serves good food, good drinks but was a bit over priced. Brakfast was a bit disappointing, not lots to choose from, and only served white bread. The fresh vegetables like cucumber, tomatoes, salad, onions etc. had nothing covering the bowls, so there was flies all over the food, which resulted in us not eating any of that. I really find that to be a big problem, this really needs to be changed. Coffee was good, and you could order different types of eggs that was made fresh for you by a chef. That was very nice. The breakfast restaurant had ocean views, and it was calm and clean. We visited the spa one time, for foot massage, and to our surprise, the masseuses chatted to each other the whole 45 minutes, which made it not a relaxed experience. Very disappointing. There was a small private beach, where you could snorkel right from the beginning. One can rent diving gears, book diving trips, rent snorkel gear and kayaks. We had an amazing time snorkeling, and saw beautiful sea turtles, and plenty of colorful fish. Just amazing. We also enjoyed kayaking, and went over to the other side of the bay where there was a great little bar, with amazing views.

Location and room was very good however, customer care and service in the restaurant was fair.

The view to Shark Bay was outstanding from our suite. There are 276 steps from the sea to Reception at the top. A great workout everyday. The pool area is beautiful - a small gym served me well. The property is high on a hill top w a steep walk down (or up) to the main road or villages - the property is a ways from the main villages so you’ll need taxi or hotel transport w various drop and pick-up times - the main dining room/restaurant was lovely - great food and service when we choose to dine
