Hotel Bishops Arms Kiruna

Well I never actually stayed here but as my money was paid and I was asked to write a review I thought I should. I booked my accomodation and booked “non refundable”. This was my First mistake. This was several of months prior to “staying”. I had flight changes by the airlines twice which resulted in me not having 2 nights now, only about 8 hours. No one in their right mind would fly so far to stay 8 hours total. I informed hotel (via Expedia) of my situation and it fell on deaf ears. As this was a non Refundable booking they said go away more or less. I am not saying that they should of refunded booking however they could of provided some excellent customer service and attempted to help... by getting room rebooked (at least 4 months notice). So I lost several hundred dollars and never saw this hotel. I certainly would not stay here on a non refundable booking as airlines change dates and times regularly and you will NOT receive help from hotel. If you stay here book a flexible room or shop around to a cheaper place.

Room was very different from the pictures on the website, much smaller. Also, was given twin beds when I had requested a double bed in the reservation. Looking though the pictures again, I believe I was given a single room with an extra bed, as the room was so small. Also, tve door giving access to the hotel, supposed to be opened with the room cards was not working and always left open, giving any person access to the the hotel corridors. Overall was a good stay, but could have booked a better hotel for the same price.

Simple, but clean, comfortable and convenient. Loved that the hotel was connected to the pub.

Nice clean hotel. Comfortable bed and chair. Very clean. Located nicely in the middle of Kiruna town and just 2 minutes walk to the bus station.

Lovely pub, rooms are clean but a little dated. Overall though it was a comfortable stay.

I found the Bishops Arms Hotel to be very convenient, the breakfasts good and the furnishings quite good. It was quiet, in spite of its central location.

Good spot for a night or two. The lobby/check in is in the pub on the first floor. Great service in the pub even though it was very crowded. Pretty sure this is the only real "pub" in the area. Room was basic but comfortable and clean. Good wifi. Good breakfast. There isn't a traditional lobby though and the pub doesn't open till later in the day, for me that meant a 6 hour gap between check out and train departure on a Sunday when no other businesses are open in the area. Something to keep in mind if you have a similar itenerary.

Excellent hotel, good condition, good cleanliness, good location, recommend

Only had a 1 night stay in Kiruna but was very happy. Clean facilities & friendly staff. Room was neat & tidy. Reception desk at the bar was a different experience no less professional.

The hotel is nice and there is a decent chain pub. The advertising made it sound as though it were a locally owned pub/hotel, but it is still pleasant. There was virtually no interaction with staff, but everything was efficient. The rooms are nicely renovated - fairly recently from the appearance. Some rooms (like mine) have windows opening into the galleria (mini-mall) which is odd and doesn't allow for opening the windows to cool the room or circulate air, but it isn't a major issue. The provided breakfast and dinner, purchased at the pub, were both good.
