This is my second time staying at the property for business within few months gap. I am super impressed by the room design which is very cosy and warm. Though I have no time to fully experience the service, as business traveler, the service offered at executive lounge determines the major part of the hotel performance. I would like to express my gratitude to Maruko Zhu Meng Zhing for going extra miles and making my short stay feels like home. Thank you.

I recently had the pleasure of spending six months at the JW Marriott in Hangzhou, China, and I want to take a moment to commend Maruko (Maruko Zhu MengJing), a lounge supervisor, for her outstanding service. Maruko's cultural sensitivity truly stood out during my visits. She has an impressive ability to connect with guests from various backgrounds, ensuring everyone feels welcomed and valued. Her understanding of both Western and Chinese customs created a warm atmosphere that made my time in the lounge even more enjoyable. Maruko’s commitment to customer service is exemplary. During my lengthy stay, she consistently went above and beyond to meet my needs and those of other guests. For example, when I mentioned a dietary preference, she immediately offered tailored options and made sure I felt taken care of. Her genuine warmth and attentiveness made a significant difference in my experience, reflecting the high standards that Marriott is known for. Moreover, Maruko's leadership skills in managing interns were impressive. She effectively guided her team, fostering a collaborative environment that encouraged learning and growth. It was evident that her approachable demeanor inspired the interns to engage with guests confidently and deliver outstanding service. Maruko is not only an asset to the JW Marriott but also a shining example of what exceptional hospitality looks like. I look forward to returning and experiencing her outstanding service again!

Staff was super nice and helping

Little bit old, and bit far from many places

I was in Hangzhou primary on Business and had a wonderful time from check in to check out. It all started with Shaun at the front desk how put up on a higher floor per my request and offered the executive lounge for me to stay in as the room was being cleaned. It continued with Alissa and Rocky in the executive lounge. Alissa went above and beyond to help with a lot of the Chinese to English translations and even made sure my Marriott rewards are counted for previous hotel stays at other cities including helping me with train and further advanced reservations at outer cities. Alissa along with the other staff at the lounge were absolutely amazing, knowledgeable. Alissa English was very good and she is a very hard working professional woman who deserves to be at the top. The Marriott group is very lucky to have her. I will come back to the JW Marriott Hangzhou.
