Excellent location, right on the beach and close to restaurants and bars. A very friendly welcome, generously sized, immaculately clean rooms with comfortable beds and great bathroom facilities. Delicious breakfast with a wide selection for all tastes. Great bar with delicious cocktails!

Nothing at all. Rooms were dirty with hair, pool party closed due to laud maintenance works in the pool, lobby full of people sleeping waiting for their next flight, construction noise just outside of the building too. Money not returned as promised. For your own mental health please avoid this hotel for your own mental health.

I have never stayed at a worse hotel. Upon arrival, we were allocated a dirty room that was covered in hair, which was completely unacceptable. We then had to ask four different staff members before anyone finally brought drinking water to our room. Basic requests should not require that much effort. To make matters worse, there was a party set up directly outside our window. As we were travelling with two small children, one of whom was unwell, we asked reception whether there would be loud music late into the evening. We specifically explained our situation and requested consideration. Reception told us they knew nothing about the event and promised to call us back, but they never did. When we called again, we were assured that the music would not be too loud. Unfortunately, that was completely untrue, and the noise continued, making it very difficult for our family to rest. We also ordered room service, and the staff member taking the order was rude on the phone. When the food arrived, he simply entered the room, dropped the tray off without saying a single word—not even "good evening" or "enjoy your meal"—and left. It was one of the most impersonal and unprofessional service experiences I have encountered. The final disappointment came at check-out. We had to leave one day earlier than planned, and the front office assured us that we would be refunded for the unused night's stay. However, when we asked for written confirmation or an updated invoice reflecting the refund, they refused to provide either. To make matters even worse, it has now been four days since our departure, and despite repeatedly trying to contact the hotel regarding the promised refund, we have received no response whatsoever. Our emails and attempts to follow up have simply been ignored, which is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. This hotel does not deserve a hostel name added to it

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet offered a large selection of western and local dishes.

The room was very moist and mildew smelling. The outdoor area had grass growing between the pavers. The property was being renovated but other maintenance appeared to be neglected.

Perfect for first night of our Sri Lanka trip, only 20 minutes from the airport. Lovely big room with very comfortable bed, restaurant food and service was extremely good and pool area very smart. Very friendly staff.

Weather wasn’t good when we arrived, there’s not much to do here when it’s raining. The street outside wasn’t great, maybe Colombo would give more options for things to do. Fairly expensive for Sri Lanka.

Great location,plus it was straight on the beach,lots of staff always willing to help, room were clean and spacious, would definitely stop again if in negumbo ❤️
