AUFantastic location, large rooms, beautiful facilities, staff and yummy food. We had all our meals at Sigiriya Village, as we had jam packed days of activities, and were very impressed. The breakfast and dinner buffet is amazing, whilst small, the ala carte menu had some fantastic choices as well. We choose the more modern rooms, and they were exceptional

FIThe location as it's walking distance to the Lions Rock. The lobby/restaurant area are nicely decorated. The large shower.
The room smelled strongly of mold. Very unpleasant. Definitely not worth the 90 USD we paid. The hotel was probably very nice when it was new but it's very old now and it shows. Our main issue is with the price being way too high.

Perfect for relaxation
DEDas Zimmer war okay, leider war Schimmel an der Wand. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und lecker. Der Pool war angenehm. Das Personal gemischt, manche freundlich andere eher weniger. Auf jeden Fall zu teuer für die Leistung.
Schimmel im Zimmer, kein Wasser beim Frühstücksbuffet (musste übertrieben teuer gekauft werden), gemischter Service.
GBThe village-style layout had pleasant landscaping and a lovely pool. Great view of Sigiriya rock from the pool area. Good buffet breakfast. Great location very close to the main attraction, Sigiriya rock. The staff were lovely and did everything they could to resolve our issues (see below). However it felt a bit like a holiday camp, with enormous bus loads of tourists coming and going every day.
We were a group of five staying for two nights in three cabanas, but they were shabby and in need of an upgrade. Unfortunately two of the cabanas had a power cut in the middle of the night making the rooms uninhabitable. The issue could not be resolved so all of us were moved to other, recently refurbished cabanas for our second night. While we appreciated this, the move was inconvenient and also resulted in a mix up with our laundry. However the worst aspect is the drivers accommodation, which is abysmal, not unlike a prison cell with three "beds" (concrete ledges with thin, filthy mattresses) in a cramped and dirty room. Whatsmore we were asked to pay for this! Our driver, a friend, had to find alternative accommodation. A bit more respect to fellow Sri Lankans would not go amiss.
