Good easy access off the motorway hotel

Bar and restaurant prices are toppy for what you get.

Everything was great the breakfasts each day were top class. The hotel was well looked after, most of the staff were friendly.

Certain areas need updating

Huge suite. Emperor bed. Good bathroom. Very good a/c. Very quiet

No mini bar, not even a bottle of water. Old fashioned decor needs updating

Looking over the golf course

The room could do with a update and fridge for the price also paint retouch or wall wash as hand prints. The plug sockets had paint on them, shower tray cracked. No bottle water. Carpets need a good wash.

We stayed here as we had a wedding nearby and wanted some of the group to play golf. I'm only a part time golfer so playing this course was challenging , it amazingly long and wide with not too many trees but lots of bunkers, hills and rough , and some lakes , and most of the greens were not flat , so we really enjoyed playing it. There is even a tuck shop half way around which sells drinks , food , ice cream etc. The double room was fine the facilities were adequate plenty of hot water in the shower and lots of toiletries and a very comfortable bed. The hotel is quite dated , felt 1990's and some of the equipment , e g shower door and tray were grubby and needed replacing , not an easy job. However it was very hot when we arrived and the rooms air conditioning was excellent ,you felt it as soon as you went into the room. The breakfast was ok , not a buffet which is usually good news but the portions were small , we had the eggs on toast which only had one slice of bread. My main gripe is they have a bar which has an outside balcony which has great views over the countryside , We went up there at 9.30 pm and although it was virtually empty there was not a table that had been cleared of numerous drinks , bar food , left over pizzas etc. I find this is a sign of poor management, later I saw four young staff huddled outside the restaurant , who could easily have done this. My conclusion is I would come again for a golf break but not the ambience .
