Best Western Motherwell Centre Moorings Hotel

I have stayed at the Moorings quite a few times now and the staff are always very friendly and polite and the facilities are good. I stayed in the newer part of the building this time for the first time and the room was very comfortable with a large modern bathroom. The breakfast is always good too and the ladies looking after us made sure we had everything we needed. It’s a five minute walk to the railway station and a five minute drive to the motorway for heading north or south so the Moorings is great for transport links too.

Lovely building, spotlessly clean and very comfortable - particularly the beds (even the pillows were good!).

I didn’t realise the first choice given for day 1 breakfast set the scene thereafter. I like variety so would prefer to choose daily. The breakfast itself was very nice though. The evening meal as part of a group booking was very disappointing and expensive. I gather the restaurant meals are nicer and more reasonable.

Centrally located in Motherwell and very close to the motorway at the same time. My room was very clean, quite large, all in good working order. The staff was professional, up to best standards communication before arrival - it gave me peace of mind especially appreciated as I was checking-in late (I did not worry when driving being aware they would let me in)

Some noises, usual squeaks of the floor like in old buildings and some people were careless when smashing the door late evening or early morning - "fortunately" I was tired enough to fall back asleep.
