Lovely old building easy location for a stop on route to the highlands

Bed was small, shower was broken, sink was broken, floors were noisy and trouser press was broken, breakfast was expensive for the the quality.

Function in function room, fine…. We entered the main restaurant where there was another large, noisy function with a clown, yes a children’s entertainer, kids screaming running through restaurant. No table set for us, started clearing a table in the corner which was covered in presents. Music blaring throughout. I said we weren’t prepared to sit there, basically tough sit there or don’t we have nothing else. No apology nothing. Staff attitude shocking and a poor reflection on the hotel. Called today, oh sorry…. Kept going on about functions. Putting the function in the main restaurant displays money driven decision making. If we’d been aware if this we wouldn’t have booked. Unfortunately late availability in Motherwell zero. Had a lovely take away from Rice. Don’t waste your money on this attitude

Easy to find and good availability of disabled parking spaces. Rooms were clean and coffee/tea available in the rooms. Plenty of hot water for showers. Dog friendly rooms and areas in the restaurant/bar. Tasty meals. Very friendly and helpful staff.

No lifts made access slightly difficult. Coffee at breakfast was stewed and bitter

The beds were very comfortable and the room was the perfect temperature. The location is within walking distance of the city centre.

The location was not far away from our event. This allows us to check in on time. Very friendly atmosphere calm and relaxing.
