Glenda and Daniele are great, friendly hosts - very welcoming on arrival and throughout the stay, making sure that you have what you need in your room and if supplies need topping up. There was a good choice of breakfast, it was excellent and served with a smile. Good location for exploring the area. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Thank you!

"Great place to stay in barnard castle , would definitely stay again"

The hotel was very cosy, the room was fantastic and very warm, the staff were very welcoming

The breakfast was nice , but I’d prefer the option of white or brown bread and prefer butter to margarine

"Great breakfast and location, in need of TLC"

Location excellent, quiet but just a few minutes walk to town centre. Full English breakfast was delicious and piping hot, all local ingredients. We were able to arrange early check in as the owners were going to be at home that day. Beds comfy. Beautiful garden to relax in weather permitting.

Shower a bit dodgy, but was hot once got going. Toilet and shower could have done with a deep clean. The whole bathroom really.

A very warm welcome from Glenda and a delicious tasty choice of breakfast, relaxing comfortable rooms.

As I'm getting older the steps to the front door play havoc on my knees.
