I loved the homely vibes here and the location was perfect!

Nothing it was perfect, we had a great time staying here.

Great location in Barnard Castle very friendly staff

Good breakfast. Comfortable and well supplied room and seperate bathroom. Well situated for visiting local places.

Wonderful welcome. Staff accommodating with take out breakfast as I was at the pool during breakfast hours. Ample sized single room with shower and private bathroom. Great location for the Barnard Castle Cricket festival. My son was participating. 5 minute drive or 20 minute leisurely walk to the school. Good location for walking, cycling or socialising in the village. Plenty of choice of restaurants, coffee shops, home bakerys and takeaways in the village. My third visit to Barnard Castle but first time I stayed in the the village. Would go back to Homelands guest house along with my wife and avail of the home cooked Italian Experience meal.

It was a week of hot weather.. A fan or air conditioning would be helpful in the single room. I could have asked for a fan, but didn't. I managed with the window slightly ajar.

Very easy parking. We received the warmest of welcomes from Glenda and Daniele who immediately made us feel at home. We had booked 3 rooms and each one was beautifully appointed with a generous hospitality tray, very comfortable beds and bright, thoughtful decor. Ours, the very pretty twin-bedded garden room, was easily accessible and we were invited to help ourselves to any of the fruit growing in the well-kept garden. We had dinner on the first evening, typical Italian dishes - tasty and plentiful - using tried and tested family recipes. Breakfasts were truly incredible and offered so much choice, traditional English and continental, which we ordered the night before. We shall certainly be finding an opportunity to return to this guest house in such a beautiful area.
