Very good breakfast Very comfortable stay

I am unsure if want to tell others about this place for fear everyone will go there. This is a wonderful hotel with plenty of room to sit around one of the 3 open log fires. Dogs are welcome and it's very family friendly. The village is true England, surrounded by open fields and farm land. Food is good, as is the choice of beers. Service is fast, friendly and won't break the bank. It's an ideal stop off of the A303.

Very friendly and helpful staff

The room was of a good size and had a very comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. Wifi and TV were good. Dinner was nice and the server pleasant if a little slow. Dessert and coffee both excellent. The bar areas are all comfortable and cosy.

The noise of the industrial extractor fan from the kitchen (I assume) below the bathroom reverberated through the evening and most of the night - I would ask for a room away from that area next time. I did not have breakfast which I felt was way overpriced at £20 per head.

I liked the location in a small village near to the A303. I only had tea and toast for breakfast but the options were excellent.

On my second visit the duvet on the bed was too heavy and hot for a room that was heated to 23degrees centigrade.

The bathroom needed some TLC. There are no radiators and the AC-heating unit is quite loud

Comfortable room if a little on the small size. Great shower, food was good. Friendly staff.

Didn’t realise hot breakfast wasn’t included though extra cost was more than reasonable! And it was delicious! Room a little pokey with quite a lot of noise from kitchen.
