The Old Hall Inn

Everything about this place I love the rooms were beautiful food incredible, perfect after a long walk in the peaks, highly recommend there Sunday lunch lunch, heard about it before and it’s the best in Derbyshire! staff brilliant too brilliant everything you need for a weekend away in the countryside

Unfortunately room was a bit small

The room was lovey mainly, the look and feel was great, very historic looking, and it was a nice size as well.

Few cob webs we could see. Nobody told us the shower wasn't working, so we had to find out off a sign on the window sill, and the tv could do with being a bit bigger. The carpet is due for replacement also. You have to remember this room is just short of £200 a night. So my expectation is higher.

The food was outstanding, we both had a roast dinner, Neil chose the lamb and said it was the best roast he had ever had. I am pescatarian and your nut roast was delicious. Vegetarian breakfast was also amazing, very much enjoyed the extra touch with the caramelised chutney spread on the veggie sausage with melted cheese on top, and the grilled tomato perfectly seasoned with herbs. Those extra touches make all the difference.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was lovely and the building very beautiful

For me the room seemed a little pricey for what we actually got
