Location okay, good bus service nearby. Towels decent.

“Flat”located at back of pub, sleeps 5 in 2 rooms.Car park outside,cars were parked literally inches from windows,blinds closed permanently for privacy,like living in a cave.Oven about a meter from bed(no cooking equipment)one chair for all to share. Bathroom was very tight,sitting on toilet and knees touch wall (I’m 5’4l).We were only 2 people so we could put luggage and clothes in spare room otherwise there wouldn’t be space to store cases etc. Overall this accommodation is very poorly maintained and shabby and needs a good deep clean. Definitely not worth the money.

The room was clean. There was tea and coffee and milk in a fridge. However, it was absolutely freezing. There was a small radiator in the bedroom which was working. The radiator in the bathroom was not working. Might as well have been outside. The windows were very draughty- they did appear to be double glazed so very badly fitted. If you’re looking for. Quiet place to stay, this isn’t it. Although the bar closed early, there was noise from within the building and the whole building shook every time. Large vehicle went up the road. The duvet provided were thin so I had to take the duvet off the other bed in the room and use that as well. If there had more people in the room I would have moved to other accommodation, it was so cold. The shower tray leaked or overflowed, not sure which. There was a big TV but nowhere to watch it come (not really a problem for me because I wasn’t there to watch TV). The staff were friendly and helpful and clear instructions were provided on access to the accommodation when the bar was closed.

Good room

The accommodation was fine but what let it was the attitude of the manager and cost for car park. It is not easy to locate the cost for the car park, it should be made clear there is a very expensive charge for the car park of £15. Shocking cost! I travel to hundreds of hotels and pubs to stay at and I have never, ever seen a charge of £15 for a pub car park. I had to park on the road outside and take a chance of getting a parking ticket even though I ask for parking in my search. I spoke to the male owner when passed the phone to chat and he was rude and arrogant without saying hi. He just said, its on the system, show him where' and got off the phone. It was obvious he gets this all the time so it is obviously not clear when trying to book.
