KC Hotel San José

This place is located perfectly. The staff was excellent.

We booked 1 night to get some sleep closer to the airport before an early-morning flight. We were expecting a comfortable bed and a decent shower. The shower was disappointing since the water pressure was not acceptable. Hot water took at least 5 minutes and a visit from the maintenance personnel to finally come out warm. Service was great, the staff was really friendly, they were pleasing every step of the way, and provided very clear information. The room was very clean. Sheets and pillows were top quality and the beds were comfortable. I would say they were double beds, I wouldn't call them Queen-sized beds. Either way, we got a good night (hours) sleep. We got no noise from the neighbors and enjoyed our black-out drapes. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay or for a night in San José in between Beach tours.

I have been staying at this hotel for years when I come visit Costa Rica. The manager always remembers me and is very attentive. She is the one who worked the afternoon shift till ten pm.

It has a great location near Sabana and National Stadium. Beautiful Hotel. Was unclean and with no hot water

Cleanliness in room

La ubicación del hotel es excelente! tranquilo y seguro. Únicamente le caería bien una renovación de muebles que están rotos o se nota que están muy viejos, el TV no es acorde a la habitación, la comida (desayuno) del restaurante de muy baja calidad, no tiene posibilidad de ofrecer hielo

The smell of the first room we went inside was horrible. This place does not only have a problem with the smell of humidity, it has a problem with maintenance of septic tanks. The first room the front desk assigned to us smelled awful, not only inside but outside too. The second choice they gave us the room smelled better inside, however outside the smell of the feces was unbearable and inside the room regardless the clean smell we could not help to notice poor cleaning. Im not exaggerating, I will post pictures. I WOULD NOT DARE GO INSIDE POOL. POOL WAS DIRTY, POOL AREA SUCH AS THE CHAIR CUSHINGS WERE SUPER DIRTY, ROOMS WERE NOT ESTHETICALLY PLEASANT DO TO DIRT ON WALLS, STAINED CURTAINS , STAINED LAMP SHADE, THE SAFE BOX WAS BROKEN AND MOLD WAS GLOWING AROUND THE BUTTON KEYS. I PAID THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY DAYS BEFORE AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION ( Park Inn by Radisson) ABOUT A MILE A TWO FROM THIS POOR MANAGED HOTEL. I DID NOT GO BACK TO PREVIOUS HOTEL; 1) KC Hotel took money right away from my credit car at time of reserving online. 2) I was only staying there 2 nights and was not there the majority of the time. So yes, i did not wanted to drag all of our suitcases etc ... back for the rest of my syayed in San Jose. I CANT recommend this place, absolutely NOT !

Property had a nice pool and close proximity to many restaurants and sabana park.

My experience at KC Hotel was terrible. I tried many times to speak to a manager, and get answers/assistance but no one was even willing to speak to me (I point this out as in all. What I’ve reviews they state that you should have mentioned this while you were there so they could remedy the situation). Upon arrival we were checked into room 415 but the door would not open and staff finally started opening other rooms, finally placing us in room 412 I. Which one bed was not even made. The floors etc were filthy, the sink only had scalding hot water no cold! Again I asked to speak with a member of management which never happened. The sad part about this is I stayed at this property Dec 31, 2020 And the experience was delightful.
