"The B&B was old and tired and the proprietor a bit grumpy. Wife was very pleasant"

5.0

Location was great.

Rooms were small, bathroom was tiny. Parking was a few blocks away

"Our stay was grand, the property like I said is fab for shopping, pubs and Eden court and bus station all in easy walking"

8.0

It’s extremely well situated for the town centre shopping and pubs, brilliant for Eden court shows and close walking distance to bus station

We actually shared a bathroom as at time of booking it was the best value for our trip, the shower is in a very small space and not the best working shower!

"Fawlty Towers in Inverness"

5.0

Great location. Breakfast was reasonable.

The host (Frank) really did not have a hospitality bone in his body. In the wrong job.

"Do not stay! Worst hosts in the world! 1 star is too generous!"

2.0

Avoid at all costs! A robot would have more emotion! I received a phone call from possibly the rudest woman I have ever spoken to to say that they’d sold so I couldn’t stay when I’ve booked, so I’ll have to find somewhere else to go. Sold what, who knows? That was the only word that was repeated over and over again. Who knows if that’s actually true, as there’s no information posted anywhere and you can still book on booking.com. I understand businesses being sold and existing bookings having to be cancelled, but there was absolutely no sympathy from her at all, and clearly did not care. As someone who works in a hotel and deals with the general public every day, from all walks of life, that is not how you tell someone you have to cancel their stay, or speak to guests. Perhaps now they are closing she will learn a few lessons in how to talk to guests in the future. From reading other reviews, it would seem I’ve dodged what would have been an awful bullet!!

"Delicious breakfast, felt right at home"

10.0

Really appreciated all the little attention to details. Cookies and tea in the rooms, plently of information on things to do, outlet towers in the room, everything was clean and confortble. Frank was very friendly and cooked a lovely Scottish Breakfast for us every morning. Location was nice, just accross the river from the center of town. This was a very nice, quaint little B&B that made us feel right at home. Only thing was having to lug our suitcases up three floors, but that's more on us than them.
