Murphy's River Lodge

Great location

Great spot, loved the rooms and view

Was unable to get any hot water in the shower even after letting run for a really long time so unable to shower. We were only there overnight so it didn't matter that much.

We have been going to Murphy’s River Lodge since December of 2023. This is our 6th time there. The staff is amazing. The place is always clean! We like that we can park our car and walk downtown with having to find parking. Everything is close including Safeway and Dollar Tree if you forgot something. Most of the time we see Elk or moose walking around.

Little touches make a difference. Popcorn in the welcome area, water and chocolate as you check out! This gem of a hotel is right along the river, close to Rocky Mountain National Park. The bed was comfortable and the room cozy, with a balcony overlooking the river. Nothing fancy, but enjoyable, would definitely stay again! Muffins and coffee at breakfast were delicious!

Friendliest employees, amazing location, very comfy beds. I couldn’t ask for more.

Location was great. Short walk to Downtown Estes Park. Upon checking in the attendant was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely courteous. She said our room had been upgraded to a larger room which was greatly appreciated and nice of the Lodge. Outstanding customer service on check-in all around. Enjoyed the continental breakfast before our departure.

The second day I went to the office to return DVDs we had checked out, and upon leaving noticed there were multiple bottles of water on the counter. They had a twix bar attached. I asked if I could have a bottle of water and the attendant said no since they were only for customers checking out. I was only interested in the water, not the twix bar. Thought that was not very friendly, especially with what I thought was free coffee set up on the counter. If the water was only for a specific purpose, it should be hidden, and not appear to be for the taking.

Absolutely loved the property! Staff even offered to ship some items to me that i thought I left behind! Super nice and polite.

We didn't arrive until well after the front desk closed and they were very accomodating to making sure we had access to our room. We also appreciated the extra sets of towels. The room was large and comfortable and we actually loved that the sink was outside the bathroom, making getting ready a breeze. The location was perfect for getting to downtown (easily walkable) and to RMNP.

The shower was a bit difficult to operate since the directions posted were not applicable to the type of shower we had in our room.

What a great experience being on the river stream. We stayed for two nights, five minute walk from downtown. They also let you check out any number of DVDs to watch movies. Great place to stay and a great location.
