The hotel is located close to the train station which makes it very convenient. They also offered to pick us up, which came in handy since we travel with two small kids. The hotel staff were very hospitable. The room was large by japanese standards, very clean and comfortable with great views. The japanese breakfast was a surprising value, plenty of delicious local food served in private rooms. The hot spring is located on the top floor with an awesome view of the surrounding area. The bus is a convenient way to get around to get to Shibu Onsen and to the Snow monkey park. We wish we could have stayed longer and we would highly recommend it.
