Green Harbor Resort

What a peaceful retreat. A wonderful family resort. Felt very safe on the manicured grounds. The staff was extremely accommodating. Everyone was eager to help. Everyday a text from the office with daily activities for children. My 2 and a half year old grandson still babbles about going to the beach and how much fun it was. The suite was dated, but clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We were 4 adults and a toddler. We had the 2-bedroom, 2-bath, Admiralty Suite. It was perfect size for our family. Per our request we had daily housekeeping and it helped with keeping our suite clean. Highly recommend the Green Harbor Resort to any family looking for a vacation spot that has a private beach, pool, and some recreation to occupy children. We hope to come back again. We loved the private beach! It made going to the beach so much easier; there was no waiting to get in the beach parking lot, no paying $35.00 to park, no hauling beach chairs and umbrellas, and no crowded beach. It made the trip so much more relaxing!

Staff was knowledgeable, courteous and responsive. Walkable to several restaurants. Being on beach was perfect.

We have gone here for several years and this is the first time I can say it was a truly disappointing experience. One of the units we had was a 2BR/2BA suite. Same one we request each time we go. This year however the unit was barely livable. There were small flies in the second bathroom which they tried to get rid of by pouring something down the drain. That did nothing. They were on the towels etc. So that bathroom could not be used during our 4 day stay. Then there were tiny ants all over the kitchen counters. Again they did try to remedy it by spraying Raid around the stove area. I was not happy with that as we had 2 toddlers with us. But that still did not solve the problem. So we could not use the 2nd bathroom and could not use the counters for food prep. They obviously need to have a Pest Control Co. come in. I spoke to the manager at check out and she said she would have someone look into the fly issue and they have had a problem with ants in some units. I told her we had stayed in other units and never had ants. She said we were lucky..... She then said she would give me a credit for the inconvenience and adjust the invoice. She did not say the amount at the time but I thought it would be reasonable. The next day a credit came thru for $50!!! That is it for not having the use of the second bathroom and not able to do food prep on the counters. This place is expensive so that credit was nothing. The suite we were in is apporx $900 per night. For our inconvenience (which was extreme) we should have rec'd at least a credit of a half nights charge. A new company took them over a couple of years ago and obviously they are letting things go. But they added a $25 fee PER DAY for parking and started charging for things that were included in the past. I dont know if i will be back but I am hoping that if i do that they have remedied the pest issue and stopped adding more charges onto guests. And get rid of the $25 parking fee!!!

This was a lovely property, much quieter than the other red jacket properties. Please be aware of the property that you book. Yes you can visit all the properties but the Green harbor has no poolside bar or music and definitely not as vibrant as the blue or the red. However, it was perfect for us! The area was much smaller so you could walk to beach quickly from your cabin. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The daily fresh brewed coffee was delicious an on the house! Also super close to Hyannis harbor where we went on a sunset cruise and had dinner at waterfront restaurant We will definitely stay again.

Excellent visit

I missed that there was no food, not even breakfast. Housekeeping was only on request, which really surprised me. I felt that I paid a lot for my unit, which was spacious, with windows on three sides. I am in my 60s, and the toilet was extremely low and very awkward. The faucet knocked in the bathroom was very difficult to pull on. I struggled with it. I also felt there should have been easier-to-reach bedside lamps. They were high over my head on the wall. And the mattress was uncomfortable: excessively firm. I've never stayed anywhere with such a hard mattress. I felt that they wanted to accommodate my handicapped mobility, paving a special sign for patting right outside my unit, which was nice. And they offered to drive me in their golf cart to the beach. So, it was a mixed bag. But I think I learned never to pay as much as I did, if they aren't even offering breakfast options and automatic housekeeping.

Kitchen is old... utensils and pans are well-worn out. The dishwasher is close to dying while the microwave service request was put in. Yes, they serviced it ASAP but for the cost/night I do expect best of the stuff. Please get rid of your cheap non-stick pans (fully damaged) and get some decent stainless steel stuff. Also, I suggest to keep basic condiments in the kitchen like salt, pepper, sugar and oil.
