Park Hotel Dalat

Bedding are hard and small considering a double room. Bathroom- always short of toilet paper cause they don’t refill it. No ventilation can be very stuffy. Layout of the hotel weird that noise echo across the hallway and in room. WORST is the buffet, right next to the buffet room has a room for smokers and the widely open and smoke get in the buffet room. Yet I asked to have that room doors close they close only one door. Not a friendly place if you are a none smoke or children.

I am furious at the way things are ran at this hotel. On our morning of checking out - we ran into an issue. That morning, when we left to get breakfast - we made sure the door was locked. We came back to a door that was left partially open. We didn’t think anything of it as we assumed housekeeping was making their rounds. We gathered our things and proceeded to check out. The front receptionist called for a room check. They came back and said one of the face towels were stained to the point where they couldn’t wash it out so we had to pay for it. Of course we asked them to go get it as we were quite confused because everything was in decent shape when we left. They came back with a face towel that was stained BRIGHT PINK. None of us had any pink things, no makeup, no drinks, nothing!! We told them the door was cracked open but they did not care. They still forced us to pay for it. We have stayed at more than 5 different hotels during our visit to Vietnam and this is the ONLY one we ran into this issue with. I felt like they purposely planted it there because we were foreigners and knew we would have to give in sooner or later. I would not recommend this place to anybody at all. We were not mad because we had to pay, but the fact they accused us and didn’t help us in any type way. Food was not that good, it was hard to find seats to eat, if there wasn’t any then we had to sit somewhere that wasn’t the breakfast room. Our room was pretty decent. My ratings went down after they accused us of dirtying their face towel.

Stayed for one night as part of a cycling group tour. Great location opposite the park and night market. Staff friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy. No AC but fans provided which was fine as it was cooler in Dalat. Hotel quiet and breakfast usual choice. WiFi was reasonable.

I booked at here for 4 days 3 nights so everything weren’t good. First, I was wearing my bag and it was kinda heavy so they starred at me as if I was carrying something illegal in an impolite way!! Second, the breakfast was not really good. It closed quite soon at 9am so we haven’t had enough time to try it, and of course the weather was cold and it made you feel sleepy at every second so you should close it at 10 is fine! And there was nothing to eat, it seemed normal as if the hotel was 2 stars or only 1. Finally, the room didn’t have the air-con and we had to use fans and opened windows, well and there were many Chinese which are really noisy and annoyed. DONE!!

Tien the receptionist was absolutely brilliant helping us get the best out of our 2 day stay in dalat. Her English was great and she was a life saver helping us arrange a private taxi for the afternoon to take us to elephant falls and a bus to mui ne the following day. Lots of choice at breakfast and the staff were all so friendly.

The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes walk from the river and close to the centre of town. Its also close to bars and restaurants as these are only a short walk away. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with booking transport and trips. A very relaxing stay and spacious clean rooms!

Dalat Plaza hotel does not has a franchise with Best Western but some old pictures still showed the old signboard with Best Western. The google map still used the brand name of Best Western Dalat Plaza. The location is central to night markets which are necessary by family travelers. If you needs laundry shops, taxi, bakery, money changer nearby, the location is right there in walking distance. Compared to the remote lakeside resorts or colonial hotels known for foreigners, this hotel catered for Vietnamese customers. The breakfast met the local standards but not for most Western. After years of operation, some floors covering are sliced up and wardrobe may has a few molds, its main function as a hotel sustained. During the night shift, the lobby is dark and only least personnel on duty which is not rare in local guesthouse. Sometimes interns are used for restaurants. It catered for domestic family and tour group customers. Phone booking can be accepted too. The room rates are in the medium average level at the area and a regular hotel personality is provided.

Prima ligging. Schoon hotel en vriendelijk personeel. Restaurant is geen aanrader maar ligging is midden centrum dus rondon eettentjes zat.
