Ryokan Kohro

We loved the Japanese style room. We were welcomed with hot tea and very friendly staff.

The location is great - close to food and shopping but a little quieter. Felt a little more 'local' which was nice. The rooms are lovely (I adore tatami.) And the breakfast was adventurous! Always love trying all the different things in a Japanese breakfast. The tofu was phenomenal as were the fish and pickles.

I have stayed in several ryokans before so I know what to expect as far as futons go but these were so thin it was like sleeping on just the floor. So uncomfortable. Had I known I might have asked for an additional one (or got one myself as I could see they had more in the closet.) Made for a long sleepless uncomfortable night for all of us.

I love the location because you can walk to Teramachi Kyogoku shopping street. I love the clean room and the amenities. The experience was great but I didn't give it a 5 star because I was charged an extra tourist tax fee and I was curious why it was not mentioned online. I paid everything online and I was surprised to get that fee.

Way to expensive, floor mattress is really not comfortable, you feel the ground, no windows to look out, probably expect more for the price.

The bathroom in the room was not really an option. It was really uncomfortable because it was really really small.

Female staff were nice and respectful and gave a brief tour of the room

Old man was rude and didn't let us get more water bottles

客室お風呂がユニットバスですが大浴場があるので問題無し。大浴場も混雑なく快適に使用出来ました。

The staff are very friendly, the facilities are clean and nice, and the location is amazing for the price point.
