Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. I booked a five-night stay and made every effort to communicate with the hotel in advance regarding the possibility of an early check-in, as our flight arrived in the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately, despite my requests, we were required to wait approximately eight hours before being allowed access to our room. The flight schedule left us with very limited options, as the only direct flights arrived early in the morning and required us to depart a day earlier than anticipated. While I understand that hotels have policies, I expected a greater level of understanding and customer service, especially given our circumstances. What made the situation even more concerning was that one member of our group was feeling unwell and needed a place to rest and access to food. Despite explaining this to the staff, there appeared to be little concern or willingness to offer any assistance beyond repeatedly stating that they were following hotel policy. As a travel professional, I carefully consider the properties I recommend to my clients, friends, and family. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this hotel to others. Customer care and hospitality should extend beyond simply enforcing policies, and unfortunately, this property fell short of those expectations.

The hotel is clean, the atmosphere is uplifting, and all the staff are super attentive. There's a lot to do. My favorite part was the spa. Juli did an amazing massage and facial two days in a row. I would do it everyday if I was here.

Great location, love the pool with in pool bar. Beautiful gardens, wonderful staff, delicious food and wide choice of Indonesian, Western and local food. Superb place for a family holiday.
