Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel

We had an issue with the okd fools staying at the Hotel dropping towels on the kabanas (or getting someone rlse to do it for them) taking the shady spots and not actually using the seats until after 1000am. We spoke to the pool attendamts who advised that those old entitled fools would harrass the staff by saying they "knew the manager" scaring and bullying the staff to giving them towels before the time to do so, which they did fearing retribution from "Management". This advice was provided to Septi who was a gun at confloct resolution, who enacted the "if you are not on your towel within one hour it will be removed" rule, and within minites, 16 lounges were made available to people actually using them. Hours later the selfish entitled old farts came along abusing those who'd found the shaded lounges vacant, only to be rightly put in their box and told to jog on. No hotel staff should be subjected to entitled old grubs standing over them falsely using management as thier entitlement reason for early towels, and I congratulate Septi's pool staff for sorting out the issue. If you're not going to use the lounges within the hour, then let those who lay the same money for their holiday use them. "Towelgate" is now well and truly alive and the staff are well suppprted from bullying tactics by those lot who will read this and know who the are aka the wicked witch of the west. Thanks Septi. You made or holiday the usual joy that it is. See you in 6 weeks.

There is nothing not to like about this place. Staff are amazing, the facilities are clean and being modernised. The only downfall for the reputation of the place is the entitled old foggies who think they can stand over the young staff to get special treatment and facilities through threats to management. Go somewhere else if you think that is acceptable.

1. Prefer NOT to get into the bath to have a shower; it is difficult if you are elderly to negotiate in the bath- too much slipping and injury potential 2. Another chair on the balcony; one chair prevents a couple sharing the balcony

Thankyou for another wonderful stay at this beautiful Hotel. My second visit in less than a year and so happy that I returned. For me time just stands still at this Hotel, it is so relaxing. I could list all of the good points about this Hotel but everything was superb. Lovely room, comfortable bed, excellent daily housekeeping, fantastic breakfast but above all the staff were brilliant in particular the dining room staff. If I was asked to change one thing it would be for the music at the daily pool aerobics to be a little quieter. It is absolutely no reflection on this superb Hotel and it is to the credit of the dining room staff that they maintained their patience and professionalism when dealing with some of the residents attending for breakfast. Wearing pyjamas in the dining room is disrespectful and lazy even if you are on holiday. The Hotel staff are not personal servants and should be spoken to how you wish to be spoken to. Please and thankyou and politness costs absolutely nothing. Letting young children run about unsupervised is dangerous to them and also the staff trying to do their job. It is a breakfast buffet not a takeaway. A big thankyou again and I can only suggest pay a little more to stay at this Hotel, you won't be dissapointed.

Good value for money accommodation, large pool, attractive grounds, ocean view. Close to the hustle and bustle of Kuta but an oasis of calm.

Drinks and spa expensive. Generally good service by staff but only rare rounds poolside, or even at bar/restaurant seeing if anyone wanted more drinks/food.
