Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel

We've stayed at the Kartika Discovery several times in the past. The breakfast buffet and a la carte dishes were excellent. I enjoyed the wide variety of food including the Indian dishes. The pool was well managed. The room was clean though the bathroom is somewhat dated & can use a bit of sprucing up

During my 3 days stay, I and another guest observed (he observed longer than just 3 days since he had been at the hotel for 2 weeks) that there were some guests who decided not to adhere to the pool area guidelines. When reminded, the SAID GUESTS pulled the "I know the General Manager (Sr. Louis) card" indicating that they have preferential treatment. This behaviour implies discrimination, and definitely giving no respect to the staff who simply try to do its job. I did ask to meet with Sr. Louis to express my observation but he was too busy, I was met instead by by Bapak Jon & Ibu Chandra. They told me they will speak to the staff. The staff has done its job correctly, courteously and professionally; it is the SAID GUESTS that need to be reminded not fling their personal relationship with the GM willy-nilly! It is definitely not a good reflection on Sr. Louis and the entire staff of Kartika Discovery.

We had a fantastic stay at Discovery Hotel Kuta. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable. Special thanks to all members of the pool bar team, especially Falah, who was always friendly, hardworking, and greeted everyone with a smile. We’d also like to thank the gardeners for keeping the grounds beautiful and the housekeeping team for maintaining our room to such a high standard with thoughtful attention to detail. Everyone worked so hard to make our stay special, and we truly appreciated it. We look forward to coming back!

staff were fabulous

the expensive room was very dated

We had an amazing dinner at the El Jardin steak house. The food, wine and staff were incredible. Could not recommend this place more. Special shout out to our amazing server Devi, she went above and beyond.
