Hotel Le Mahana Huahine

Pickup at airport was very professional with signs and uniformed driver who gave us a commentary on the sights en route to hotel, a 30 minute drive. Huahine is very lush, a true garden island, very nice reception and pretty walk to our bungalow, right on the beach. The view is worth the price, but garden bungalows are only a few yards back so if price matters a lot you are only missing the view and beach access is just a few steps further. Our room is well appointed with AC, coffee/tea setup, and a lovely bathroom with a shower that opens to a private garden on the backside. King bed and a separate single that doubles as a sofa by day. Outside deck chairs and table for surf watching all day or between swims. The property is relatively compact with about 15 ft between bungalows but we have had no noisy neighbors- just can’t skinny dip. Beach is lovely and adequate but not very long. Lots of shade trees, more than other islands we have visited and much appreciated at midday. As well Huahine is a few degrees cooler than the last island we left yesterday. Snorkeling by the dock is as good as some places that tour boats charge money for. All in all a quiet laid back place to relax and embrace the tropical pace of life. Canoes and paddle boards available for greater exertion but this is not a party place like Bora Bora. Great variety on the menu but we are not foodies so no advice there. this is our third stay at Le Mahana in as many trips to Tahiti,always a joy.

Notre bungalow était en premier rang sur la plus jolie plage de Huahine avec une douche ouverte sur la nature et une terrasse privative sur l’impressionnant arbre emblématique de l’hôtel, très appréciable ! Le petit déjeuner est complet avec une belle vue mer. Le dîner est semi gastronomique. L’île de Huahine est très paisible et authentique.

Très bon accueil : nous avons demandé à changer de chambre car trop bruyante et avons été déplacés sans souci. Chambre agréable très bien décorée pour 3. Pas plus de personnes car taille moyenne ! Lagon devant la chambre superbe avec fonds marins sublimes. Prêts de masques tubas kayak et paddles. Restaurant très bon et prix raisonnables. Prendre véhicule pour visiter (europcar sur place mais cher - préférez les prendre a l’aéroport)

Pure tranquility! We booked a beachfront room, so had our toes in the sand as soon as we woke up. Loved the swimming, snorkeling, kayaking. Staff were lovely. We could have gotten by without a car, but had one for convenience.

This hotel is a nice place to stay in Huahine. It is far from the airport, but they offer a shuttle service for an additional charge. Once there, though, you have everything you need. Beautiful beach with free kayaks, paddleboards, etc. Really good food at the on-site restaurant, with a charming restaurant just next door. And comfortable rooms with a nice outdoor sitting area to watch the sunset. Also, if you like massages, the one we booked through the hotel was excellent. The only negative thing I can say is that service is a bit iffy. They didn't respond to numerous messages sent through Hotels.com. We waited over an hour for our dessert in the hotel restaurant one night. And the check-in process was uncomfortable. We shared the airport shuttle with another couple who we didn't know. The front desk person tried to sit us down and check us in together, at the same time, which entailed discussing personal details like activities booked, etc. It seemed really inappropriate, so I asked to step over to a more private area. It seems strange that they didn't suggest themselves. Personal financial details shouldn't be discussed in front of strangers.

This was a gorgeous location, very relaxing, beautiful sunsets. The air conditioning in the rooms was perfect, which we needed during the week we were there.

We just spent three days at the Mahana. We loved our deluxe bungalow with lagoon view. The hotel was super quiet and clean. The beach in front of the hotel is spectacular. The service can be a little slow at the restaurant and the choice (for lunch and dinner especially) is limited but we thought everything was good. We did not see a lot of hotels in Huahine and the Mahana is probably the best one. The location, on the beach, is great but the hotel is far from everything and you will need a car.

Good old fashioned friendly service. Great food and location.

Ja das Hotel bzw. Bungalow Anlage ist sehr schön Leider ist es ein französisches Kindergartenhotel mit all den Krawall den Kleinkinder erzeugen. Die Lage am Strand ist zum baden und schnorcheln gut geeignet,leider ist das Hotel sehr sehr abgelegen,sodass man einen fahrbaren Untersatz benötigt-Avis gibt es im Hotel. Es gibt keinen vernünftigen Supermarkt in der Nähe auch kein Restaurant oder Imbiss was man empfehlen könnte.Daher ist man gezwungen alles im Hotel zu machen,d.h. Frühstück,Mittag, Abendessen.Auf Grund dieser exclusiven Bedingungen sind leider die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant nicht sonderlich motiviert - es ist eher eine nüchterne Freundlichkeit nicht das was man von Polynesien gewohnt ist. Spazieren am Strand ist max.100m,zu Fuss geht hier eigentlich gar nichts.
