Seoul Rex Hotel

very bad impression...i will never choose it again...The receptionists of seoul rex hotel have serious discrimination on national people...the manager of receptionist was such a negative person who was really bad to our chinese！yesterday before we left...we put our luggages in loberry and told the receptionists that our fris would come here and pick up these stuff..After i arrived airport...my fris came to the hotel and the receptionists refused to give him my luggages...i called hotel by facetime by which he could see me and i can explain directly ...but the receptionist insisted that he could not speak English.and no one here speaking engish..only korean or Japanese...i never saw an international hotel only speaking korean or Japanese but no english...how could they treat international guys...hah...such a big lier....and then he refused to give my stuff the reason was i have left...the stuff i recorded was room 818.but i already left paper and took pics of my stuff to my fris，i told my fris showing pics to them my stuff...the receptionists still refused...i was really angry..they intended to bully me a chinese who can only using English to communicate with them...and they insisted no English here only korean Japanese...i was so sad..before that i think korean culture was fantastic...from this time what i can see was poor relationship and serious cutrural discrimination by your honored hotel which made me and my fris very disappointed...i believed this kind of poor quality cututral hotel would never ever be accepted by our chinese and natinal friends at all.

The hotel is located near Myeong-Dong so it is a good hotel for people doing shopping. The staff can speak Korean, Japanese, Mandarin and English so they can answer questions professionally with good attitude. However, the hotel is old the facilities do need to be improved, especially the lighting in the room and the corridor.

Overall we had a great stay. One previous comment says that the hotel seems old’ish but very well taken care of and I 100% agree. The staff was very friendly, especially the breakfast servers. Comfort wise it had all we need and had great sleep. Location is a big plus for this hotel, just minutes from shopping and night food markets. It took us no longer than 1:30 Lgb from ICN to the hotel via express train and then switching to the #4 subway fornone quick additional stop. So many things are accessible by foot if you enjoy exploring things that way.. will definitely consider it again for our next trip to Seoul, whenever that may be.

It was a good stay where even though the room is dated but it's in very good condition and the hotel certainly is proud of them. Location is good to walk to Namdaemun and about 10 min walk to Myeongdong shopping district. Subway is only 5 min walk away. Lots of local food around.

Hotel location was convenient for shopping and going around

I stayed at this hotel 3 times. The location is good being near the open-air market and a few steps away from the subway. Also, walking distance from Seoul train station. It is an old hotel but the price is good and rooms are clean. Will stay there again.

Air conditioning /heater breakdown.. Room temperature were set at 30~35 deg C and we had to sleep in the hot room condition... Ask the reception to help but they don't speak English at all.. I won't recommend this hotel.

AC did not work. Informed staff about it, but was still not fixed

Hotel room is nice and clean. You get everyday clean towels even if you dont let you put the sign do not disturb (they put the clean towels in a bag in front of your door). No safe deposit box in room, but at reception desk. Tv, Refrigerator, watercooker in room Across the street little 24/7 shop. Within 10 min walking distance of Seoul station and near Namdeamun market and Meyongdong shopping area.

Some buttons are broken. Room quite spacious. Furnitures are old. Good location. Near subway station.
