Location is almost in front of the bay. Even though it located a little bit far from JR station, but it is in the midst of shopping and restaurants area. I can easily walk to morning market as well.

Hakodate had already surprised me, but La Vista Hotel took it to another level. It’s one of those rare places where everything just works. The location alone is incredible — a short stroll from the train station, right beside the red brick warehouses, an easy hop to the ropeway, the trams, and even Goryokaku Fort. It felt like the whole city was on my doorstep. And then there’s the breakfast. Yes, there are the usual western options, but the seafood spread is on another level entirely — the freshest salmon, sashimi, roe, and more. Honestly the best breakfast seafood I’ve ever had anywhere. The rooms were bigger than the usual Japanese standard, but what really stood out was the view. The moment you open the door, you’re pulled straight to the window. Even the lift lobbies and hallway ends frame Hakodate like artwork. And of course… the onsen.
