Interesting experience. Usually we are quite relaxed if a hotel isn't perfect, but for a 4 star hotel, I would like to share this. The hotel has a very 70s vibe but not in a good way. Everything is heavily outdated and it seems maintenance hasn't been performed since it was initially built. Furthermore, it seems that cleaning is not performed on a regular basis as there are stains on the carpet, chairs and even the towels had spots from previous guests. As a result, we ended up playing the 'the floor is lava' as we didn't want to touch the carpet. The staff is very friendly and gave us another room as the first room was even more broken down.

Stayed the one night as on a business trip a short distance from the hotel. Room was a bit tired and needed some attention, carpet marked and stained and paint work looked dull. But it was very clean and a good sized room. Nice large bath with a shower. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice in a very pleasant dining area and looked after by friendly staff. For business I would definitely stay here again but if with family I would like a more up to date room, which may exist on site anyway.

For a family reunion nearby, we were looking for a hotel to stay two nights. That's long enough. Nice dinner, average (but OK) breakfast, soft beds, outdated but big bathroom. Your average hotel, a bit dated, but quite OK to sleep one or two nights.

Selection of food is very limited, reception staff is not friendly, need refurbishment, discovered that Dutch menu has much more selection than English menu, open only until 8:30pm Breakfast hot food selection is just - scramble eggs, boiled egg, and greasy soft bacon... Definitely not 4 stars

We booked Mother's Day brunch at the Fletcher hotel in Egmond Ann zee 6 weeks ago the hotel contacted us 2 days ago and said they were not doing Mother's Day brunch there but could offer a alternative at there hotel in Heiloo so we accepted when we arrived the hotel was situated on a busy Main road not on the beach as in Egmond when shown to our table it still had plates from breakfast on it!! As for the brunch bread rolls with cheese, ham, turkey roll and a few cakes(my wife asked the waitress what fruit was in one of the cakes and she replied I will have to check the box to see) all this for €22.50 PP we won't be going there again !!

We were in Heiloo to visit our godson and stayed at this hotel. While it is an older hotel, the accommodations were fine and breakfast was included and very nicely done. Staff was very accommodating.

During one of my business trips I needed last minutes reservation for 8 nights and could not get the room in nearby Hotels. Room is quite large and the bed is comfortable but the amenity are scarce. All stores around Heiloo are closing earlier so if you work long hours and come late you would like to take shower and have something to drink, but there is nothing in your room. If you want coffee or tea you have to go to restaurant, but you can not even dry your hair because there is no dryer either! Not to mention that lighting is terrible. In the bathroom is so dark that is impossible to shave. Rain gutters are so noisy that i could not sleep and unfortunately it rains quite often in Holand .

Dear Fletcher Group It is incredible that this hotel is a 4-star hotel. It is not even worth 2 stars. I am just talking for the hotel-part. One of the staff told me that the 4 stars are given for the other facilities like conference rooms etc. You really need to change or renovate the rooms. In the '70ies it was may be a sort of luxury but ever since nothing changed.

The Fletcher Heiloo offers very friendly staff. Being somewhat late from a trip to Amsterdam and having missed the bus from Alkmaar station we were called about checking in. Beds are good. Rooms have had their best times. Breakfast is fair, nothing special. Difficult to reach by public transport.
