Vallarta Shores Beach Hotel

AMAZING! This has been a wonderful visit with Vallarta Shores-Villa Azul! Irvin is a FANTASTIC Chef. Alberto is also a WONDERFUL Chef's Assistant. They knew exactly what we needed every day. I felt welcomed and taken care of the entire time. Appreciated the daily housekeeping from Ana, Esmeralda and Pablo. MUCHA GRATITUD.

The food was amazing every day the food was top notch, and every meal was different and full of flavors, the drinks were also very good and full of different flavors that are not what I normally find at home, the views from the house were awesome and every room was amazing

Irvin was the absolute best chef/host. He made the time at Villa Azul so wonderful Alberto and he cooked the most amazing food and were so pleasant and kind and accommodating and I had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and perfectly placed for relaxing.

Not a place for a relaxing vacation unless you leave during the day. The property would be much better if it was not next to 2 loud, very popular beach clubs that played nightclub music so loudly that from 12pm- 8 you can not enjoy the beach. You feel the thumping even from your room. Families from this hotel rarely were at the beach in front but would leave or walk down the beach even though it was busier down there. It’s too bad because it really is a pretty spot and is absolutely beautiful in the morning. If you’re in the lower units it’s bright at night bc there are big spotlights on the beach and a drive in front of the place which can be noisy. The staff is pretty hands off but if you need something they are responsive. If you’re looking for a party, this is your spot!

The neighborhood of Vallarta shores is really not for families. I knew it was gay friendly, but didn’t realize just how far people would take that. The music next door was extremely loud, all day and into the night, which we were told was just a festival, not there all the time, but it really made our stay uncomfortable- the vases were rattling on the shelves. The Vallarta shores manager took pity on us for bringing our tweens into an extremely gay district and very kindly moved us to a different property, for which we were extremely grateful. The management were top notch for recognizing we had made a big mistake bringing kids to this area of town, and were super kind to offer us a new room at a different location. I think things have changed in the neighborhood- maybe it was spring break, maybe just unlucky, but the lack of clothing on people walking about and the loud music were not family friendly.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The shower had nice pressure. The heated pool was fabulous.

It was more that some of the people were not friendly and completely honest. The receptionist was rude and did not welcome me when I came to check in. I never saw her smile. No one escorted us to our room and assisted with our bags. This is expected at an establishment as upper end as this. The disappointment came with the chef. Dulcie was very friendly and an amazing cook. She was on time and provided lovely meals, however, we planned to eat leftover tortilla soup and it was gone. The second night we planned to take the shrimp from tacos and meat home. We told her we lived 2 blocks away and would like all of the leftover purchased items. When it came time to leave she did not seem pleased with us trying to pack up everything… she did not assist bringing leftovers, like the bottle of oil, loaf of bread never opened, several items on the receipt that could not have been used up. I realize she is used to people leaving everything and heading to the airport, we however expected quite a few of the grocery items to come home with us. The receipts were gone over and several items were not on our list and we know were not used. One receipt was for the items for the complimentary guacamole chips and salsa. I accidentally left a bag with cheeses and fruit and some other items I brought with me but were not contacted. They had not been opened. I did not receive the tortilla crackers and bread I brought back to take home. We got the leftover coffee creamer , ketchup, salsa, watermelon and cut up fruit except papaya, no one eats it, a few veggies and all of the leftover we bagged up from breakfast were in the bad that was left behind. Our grocery bills were close to $4000 pesos. Thank you

Vallarta Shores was absolutely amazing. The location is perfect towards the end of the beach and still close to everything you need. Rooms were fully equipped and spotless. Front desk folks very helpful. Palapas just for the condos, pool, incredible views, hearing the waves all evening, it doesn’t get much better. We will absolutely return and hope to make this an annual stay! Multiple condo options to fit your own desires. Thank you Vallarta Shores, see you soon!

Chef Rodrigo was amazing, he cooked perfect meals for us every day. The apartment was much bigger than I expected. The rooms were always cleaned and the service was great. Highly recommend this property.

Convenient access to the beach and local gay beach clubs like Matamar. Walkable to the romantic zone.
