Vallarta Shores Beach Hotel

La habitación era mucho mejor lo que imaginabamos y esperabamos por las fotos. La vista al mar le sumó muchisimo. Es de muy facil acceso el hotel, a pocas cuadras de la zona mas centrica del Malecón, por lo que podías ir caminando sin problema tanto de día como de noche.

The staff were fantastic couldn’t have done any more for me. The room was amazing, great views right across from the beach. Photos actually aren’t as good as it looks in real life!

The room was too close to the main entrance of the property. Room #8. I booked way in advance. Upon checking in, I was told there was no other room available. Bummer!

The villa, the chef, everything was an unbelievable experience. They were accommodating to all our requests and created an incredibly memorable time for us all. 10/10

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. Great location. Quiet. Clean. Super attentive management and staff. After staying on the Malecon several times which was also lovely but very noisy, Vallarta Shores is a dream. So if you don’t mind easy walks into town and want a beautiful private beach, pool and comfortable accommodations with awesome views, this is the place. Will be returning for the third time February 2026. Can’t wait!

Beautiful space for a peaceful trip

It was the farthest from the bars and clubs and no activities within the hotel

This was an amazing property. My only small complaints were that our shower barely drained and the bath towels smelled dingy/not freshly laundered. The pool in our unit was SOOOOO HOT, thus not refreshing, but only mother nature's relentless sunshine caused that issue. Maybe a shade of some sort over the pool can help with that problem, but it didn't make our vacation any less wonderful! The hotel's main pool was nice and cool so we found ourselves there often. The beach was just steps away, which provided a good breeze. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. Dulce' was our chef and was amazing. Every dish she made was perfect! She had fresh guac, pico and margaritas ready for our arrival and I've never tasted better. The views from our balcony were beautiful. We loved watching the sunsets every evening. We walked around every day, enjoying the shops and one night had a great meal at a nearby beach restaurant. We are already looking to return next summer.

It’s at the south end of the Malecon Boardwalk and Playa Los Muertos which we liked. It’s set further back than the hotels next to it giving it a secluded feel. The beach area in front of the hotel isn’t as busy as the rest of Playa Los Muertos. We loved the short walk to Playa Amapas and then to Playa Conchas Chinas. Every room has an ocean view and you are steps from the beach. We also enjoyed using the pool, outdoor shower, lounge chairs, and umbrellas too. There is a hot tub but it wasn’t heated because it would’ve been too hot for July. Rooms are spacious and clean and very nice! We were in #8 and there is an AC in the Master bedroom and a fan in the living room and the room stays pretty cool.

The pillows. They were too big and your neck kind of starts to hurt as you sleep. Also, power went out one of the nights we were there so it was HOT! They got it back on the next day but we talked about switching hotels if the power hadn’t resumed due to the muggy July heat. The Malecon doesn’t really start until about 3 blocks north of the property. There wasn’t a day that we weren’t offered drugs while walking those 3 blocks. It never felt dangerous though. The sellers just say the words and hope you’ll bite and if you don’t, they don’t say anything else and are not aggressive at all. FYI. (Not the hotel’s fault, just unfortunate that those men gather there). Also, it was mostly quiet at night but one night the gay hotel/nightclub next door was very loud. Bring ear plugs and you’ll be fine. Also, because there are a few gay hotels next door, that part of Playa Los Muertos is filled with gay men in speedos. It was an interesting experience to say the least.
