"Old hotel, they do what they can"

6.0

My room was spacious. Looks like the building has seen better days. The staff is not the most helpful. The hotel needs work. The maid told they were just about to start renovating. A few things were not working but they really did their best to fix them. The cafe on the street was too hot but also very nice with great service. Excellent location right on the plaza.

"Ok, not great, not terrible"

6.0

If you're looking for a centrally located, affordable place to stay, this is your spot. If you're looking for a hotel with comfort, keep looking. Our first night, we stayed on the first floor and the AC was slow, but manageable via our own thermostat. Given the heat outside, this was important. The bed was super comfortable, though the pillows were not. The second night we stayed on the second floor. NO BUENO. again, if you're looking for a place to store your stuff for the night that's centrally located and close enough to the bus terminal and tourist experiences, it's a great spot. If you're looking for a great nights rest, look further. The pluses: right in the Zocalo; hotel front desk staff friendly; tourist experiences accessible; a quick ride to the bus terminal ($25 pesos). Cons: A/C not well functioning, and super slow on floor 2 (200s), beds on second floor not comfortable (unlike on first floor), no elevator, inconsistent WiFi.

"Mile and a half from the beach, so be prepared."

8.0

Further from the beach than you would expect, but not to bad (expect a 30 min walk). Free wifi, showers are big and comfortable. AC is definitely nice after a day on the beach, and all the mexican soaps you want on tv after! Staff don't speak english, but were as nice as can be. Right on the downtown for la Crucacita. Definitely worth it, specially compared to all the other places we stayed in the Oaxacan state.

"One night in La Crucecita."

8.0

Stayed one night after a week on the beach at Zipolite. Friendly reception in an airy courtyard. The building has the feeling that it's been there years, although La Crucecita was only completed in the 80's. Nice to relax at the pool on a hot afternoon.
