Ocean Street Inn on Hyannis Harbor

We have stayed here several times in both the new and older buildings. Although not pretty on the outside; the older building has direct access to rooms without hallways. The room is large and very comfortable, generally quiet , large soft fluffy bath towels , small refrigerator and coffee maker in room, Priced well.

Parking was limited, black mold and cracks in the bathroom ceiling. No value for the price. Do not recommend

This hotel reeked of mold the moment we stepped in the room. The a/c unit built in the wall was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. At 515 am the light was shiny through the entire room from the front door. The bathroom was like a jail cell and the 2nd floor to get to our room felt like it was going to collapse. The pool was cordemed off and the entire property looked like a crime scene

None of the windows locked in the room. Being on the first floor we didn’t feel very safe. Had to use hangers to keep the window closed.

We liked everything about our stay and the location. Upon arrival we saw some ants in the bathroom but weren't concerned, until we woke up one morning to a major ant infestion where they were all over some of our food. In return we received less than a $50 credit.

Overall, the hotel was great. The room was clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The only downside was the check-in process. Since this location is managed by the main hotel, we had to go to the other property to check in, which was a bit inconvenient. Because of this setup, there were also some delays activating the key cards. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay!

We checked in at midnight after an emergency trip to Bourne animal hospital. They had us check in at the lobby of a different hotel to get keys- and we went looking for Ocean Street Inn which had all the lights off and taped up parking area. After calling front desk and searching further we found it. Awful night sleep, noisy mechanicals, funky smell, terrible lighting, no outlet for coffee maker in the morning so we put it on the floor near the bathroom, and weak wifi. What are we paying $40 at the door for amenities for. Much better idea to stay at their nicer hotel Hyannis Harbor or one of the other inns in the area. We were in grief from putting our dog down and not being able to find the room ( no lighted path or sign to the rooms behind the main hotel which was closed” and the room condition made it more depressing. Honestly WAY too much money, even at online price, for the experience. They give 4 big decorative pillows to make it look high end but there is not a decent chair to put them on when getting into bed so they go on the floor. Ewwwwe

This property second floor porch is a step away from a major lawsuit . The room smelled like mold , the shower was extremely dingy and old . When the room was cleaned the pillows were literally left on the floor . We contemplated leaving it was so terrible and felt it was a major safety risk. Never again. They need to tear it down.
