Ocean Street Inn on Hyannis Harbor

Best location in Hyannis, walk to restaurants and Hyline Cruise. Room was clean and big and overlooking the harbour. Spanky’s Clam Shack is a treat. Check in isn’t simple but we figured it out.

Although there appears to be some recent upgrades, this is an older hotel. Our windows did not lock, which for women travelers made us feel very unsafe. The outside lights did not turn off and shown through all night. It is noisy with other visitors above and around us. Also the shower, although clean needed major updates.

We find the location, room size very easy to get luggage into room (ground level👍 And we commute so often need a budget friendly place

We were expecting a nicer Inn to stay at. The facility was more like a motel than an Inn. The pool was dirty and chained. There were several bugs in the room The staff allowed us to upgrade to the "sister" Inn, the Hyannis Harbor Inn. the Hyannis Harbor Inn was very nice. It was clean with a pleasant atmosphere. The photos of the Ocean Street Inn looked like a cozy inn on the harbor. It wasn't like than.

Nothing this was the worst place I ever booked never again through Expedia or this place.

The only thing missing is some blackouts on windows

Once on site, registration took place at the Hyannis Harbor Hotel down the street from this property, where a $40 Amenity Fee was added to the total amount that we had already paid in advance. There was no mention of this extra charge when I pre-paid the room rate on the Ocean Inn Website, e.g. not a third-party site. As shown in the photos, the pool was locked, the overhang was in need of paint/repair, and there were no amenities on this property worth $40. Paying for amenities at another hotel is unacceptable, particularly when no advance notice is given. I spent 20 minutes with the registration desk asking for an adjustment, obviously to no avail.

Overpriced. It's just a hotel.

The check in process was very confusing- you had to go to sister hotel to check in and the staff did not clearly still us where we were to got find our room or park the car.
