"Cosy inn, brilliant food and walkable to Petersfield."

Cosy restaurant and inn, with lovely food, and staff.

The food was exceptional, and the young members of staff are a credit to the establishment - polite, friendly and helpful. Although not advisable in the dark, I particularly liked that the road into Petersfield had a pavement, so was able to walk into town in the morning (which I was initially a bit worried about as I don't drive).

Room was lovely. large double, very comfy sleigh bed. We went half board at a very reasonable price which included continental breakfast and a 2 course evening meal off the inn menu. The food was fresh local produce and our steak the first evening was the best we have had for a long time. Staff and owners were very friendly and helpful, especially Sophie who looked after us for our evening meal. The location, just outside Petersfield was lovely for walking our dog and Petersfield itself is a beautiful market town which has a lovely park running around a small lake, right next to the town centre.

"Exceptional"

We were a large group coming from Ireland to attend a wedding close by, and this was the ideal place to stay. It’s a beautiful, English countryside pub/guest house, with a warm, cozy vibe. Headed by the friendly owner, the staff couldn’t do enough for us all. Highly recommend.

A gorgeous inn with lovely friendly staff. The food was delicious - breakfast was great!

The only negative was the traffic noise at night. The room would benefit from secondary glazing. Other than that, we had a delightful stay.

The pub looked lovely, sadly didn’t get to eat there as was attending a wedding. Our room was quiet, comfy beds and nice linen. Really helpful and cheerful staff.

The included breakfast is very basic and we had to pay a supplementary fee for a rather sad and dry bacon sandwich. The room was good for crashing for a wedding but we’d have been sad if we’d booked it for a nice night away.
