Gidea Park Hotel

I chose this hotel as I needed an overnight stay locally for a business meeting next day. The hotel was fine, adequate for what I needed and clean. Staff were pleasant and efficient.

Very pleasant small family hotel. Not luxurious but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Bedroom basic but very clean with all the essentials you need. Staff excellent. Very welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for you. Hotel feels personal unlike like large, anonymous, corporate budget hotels. Has small restaurant and bar where breakfast (good quality and value) is served and you can have evening meals. Unfortunately was fully booked for the evening when we were there which was a shame as the food looked fabulous! (hotel family and chef are Italian).

Competitively priced and friendly staff, decent hotel

A good hotel for a short stay. Very clean & tidy with very helpful staff. Room small but adequate for a short stay. Problem with toilet not flushing away and they were not able to deal with before we left.

room not as described in ad, stated deep soak bath and rainfall shower, but room only had basic shower. I was told expedia had got it wrong. also would not give receipt for full amount paid.

Good place to stay with parking and near station. Good value for money.

Was probably the worst room I have ever stayed in.. will suit some but was too small for me.. feet hang over the end of the bed, too hot and if you opened the window you got the car exhaust fumes as the road leading away from the church next door goes by the window and they kept going past until about 10.30. Sat on the toilet you knock the the toilet roll of the wall. Have to use the floor as there's no where to put things... leave them on the window and they could possibly get nicked as people could reach in if the window was open. I nearly moved out on the 1st night. Have stayed 3 or 4 times now but will not go back. Shame as the staff are nice, it is clean and it's in a good location. Will suit some people and has probably got better rooms if you want to pay for them.
