Gidea Park Hotel

Was surprised how small our room was , pictures on website very deceiving, bed was very hard and was no space around the bed as room was so small , the toilet and shower was in the cupboard and unless you are very small you would not be able to fit in the shower, my partner who is over 6ft struggled, also very noisy all through night and didn’t really feel like had much privacy as could hear everything even conversation in next room , felt it was over priced for what we got, and it didn’t even include breakfast

I was in a small, single room. The bed was okay, although the single pillow was hardly worth the effort. Bathroom was so small you had to sit on the toilet at an angle! The walls were paper thin. The "guest" in the room opposite me decided to have a 2 hour mobile conversation at 10.30pm. He didn't shout, but I could hear every word of his rather boring conversation, before the hotel told him to shut up (immediately after I complained about him). It's certainly not a bad hotel and I would stay again, but it's nowhere near as good as the chain hotel I stayed in two days earlier for the same price.

Very convenient for a night out in Gidea Park and a reasonable price.

The one useable haard wooden chair had to be sit in the middle of the very small walk way, The small shower had no shelf for soap/shampoo. One must manuver to use the toilet. The radiator heat didn't work (staff provided a small space heater for an already very small room). One couldn't walk between wall and the side of the bed. ++++ staff very eager to try to please - good breakfast - all quite friendly. The room was not "user friendly" in any way, shape or form.

My previous reviews were based on other bedrooms. I paid extra for a superior double and what a difference loads of room comfortable bed. The pizza in the restaurant was good and more authentic than from dominoes etc. Thank you for a lovely stay

We visited Romford for family reasons and we were welcomed by the receptionist and shown to our room. 3 single beds immaculately clean and very comfortable. The hotel is in a good position and offers free parking on site which is a necessity in this area. Breakfast was excellent and all combinations were offered which was suitable for all. The pictures that decorated the room illustrated the Italian owners home area, very tasteful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lush.

Myself, my husband, and two adult daughters, occupied two rooms. We arrived tired and hungry after an eight hour journey, the hotel kitchen cooked us a very good meal, without fuss. The staff were very accommodating to our every need. Many many thanks for that. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We were given a “double” room with only one bed side lamp - made for a difficult night . After complaining in the morning we were moved to decent double room for the second night. If had we had that room from the start I would have given a better rating.

Very good, friendly attentive staff. Fantastic Spaghetti Carbonara, tasted delicious! Comfy bed, clean bathroom, good shower. Local shops and 2 pubs within 2 minute walk. Overall a great hotel for the price. Would hesitate to book again.
