Set in the hills with streams running through the grounds this hotel gives peace and quiet and relaxation whilst offering attention to detail often not found in chain hotels. Ample supply of drinks in room and choice of breakfast. Friendly host and hostess and their two dogs too.

Great place in a lovely location and fantastic hosts

Amazing place especially for young families

Our hotel was in such a beautiful area of the country! The owners were very welcoming and really enjoyed talking to guests. Our room was very spacious and modern. Our two boys had their own room, just next door with two twin beds. Our linens were very comfortable and quality. Breakfast was served with options, and the owner was very willing to show us their farm with chickens and their pets. Great experience, would stay there again.

Only stayed the one night unfortunately but we couldn't have received a friendlier welcome, even arriving at 11.30pm. The breakfast was extensive and very filling, and my daughter loved both dogs immediately.

Wallace Farm was a really wonderful B&B. The house was beautiful, in a quiet location but not too far from the motorway or Northern Lakes. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. There was a very nice guest lounge, with the option of an open fire if desired. The breakfast was amazing, really delicious with a vast choice. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. No complaints or suggestions from us at all. We would love to return and stay in one of the self-catering cottages one day!

Lovely rooms and bathrooms. Hosts very friendly and asked where we were headed off to. We mentioned would like to see a bit of Hadrian's Wall, and he told us about Vindolanda, the fort behind the wall. We went there and all enjoyed it thoroughly.

Although evening meals are not availalbe near by, a trip to the Oddfellows at Calbeck is well worth the trip.
