The location and the room

The pub was quite rowdy.

Friendly & helpful staff Room very clean . Plenty of choice at breakfast & all cooked fresh to order

Maybe fans in bedrooms during hot weather.

The property was in a great location.

The bathroom wasn’t really that good. The shower was very small. The shower was also black around the tray. Breakfast was not good. Scrambled eggs rubbery, bacon burnt. There was a table with cereals on and bread for toasting. When I went to the table there were flies on the bread. Eating our evening meal there we was pestered by flies.

Very nice room with ensuite and tea and coffee facilities. Good breakfast. Earplugs???!

The pub, below our room, is fully wired for TV and music in all spaces including outdoors. The noise was intrusive and meant the room, nice as it was, was less of an amenity than it should have been. I messaged about that on the first of our three nights and was directed to the earplugs provided! Music noise did cease at around 11:00 PM, though. The second night felt like bar staff revenge, music volume escalating as 11:00 PM approached to the point where I sensed the involvement of resident management regaining some control. By then we'd already decided to stay away as much as possible and were both looking for alternative accommodation. While the breakfast was good the dining area was dark with some truly filthy furniture present. The outside space could have been great in such good weather but the loud piped music was intrusive for such a pleasant location and the grounds were littered throughout. The Booking.Com details mentioned occasional weekend live music but I think they were silent on the noisy pub below. For that reason, inadequate details / misrepresentation, a substantial refund would be in order.

Clean comfy bedroom, lovely beer garden . breakfast was hot plenty of choice. great deals on the drinks . fantastic location .

Just the parking

The building has a lot of history and has big rooms when comparing it to when it was built. You still have to watch your head on the beams and door frames though. Good pub with great beer garden. Breakfast was good too.

Location is great but because of this with the windows open in the hot weather was woken at 05.30 by people talking whilst loading a van. Swings and roundabouts.
