Good overnight stay for what we paid but didn't stay in the room much. Good shower and reasonably comfortable bed. Friendly staff let us check in and receive keys 2hours early. Quiet area with not much to do but served it's purpose.

"Handy to get to Royal Ascot!"

6.0

We stayed for two nights & the location worked well for us. We were fortunate to have a room at the rear rather than the front which overlooks a busy road. The hotel staff were pleasant on arrival but there was nothing forthcoming, no information offered about eating either an evening meal or breakfast in the pub. We decided to go out! On our return the second evening we asked if we could have a "nightcap" & we were told that the tills had been cashed up so that was that! The room was very dated & needed a really good freshen up. However they did provide us with an electric fan to help combat the extreme hot weather so that was a nice touch.

"Fine for Thorpe Park"

8.0

Room functional (kettle a bit limescaled). Friendly welcome. Good location for Thorpe Park (25 mins on foot). Comfortable nights sleep though room a little noisy due to thin walls. Wifi temperamental. Price reasonable. Would return.

"Excellent Value - Friendly"

8.0

No doubt a coat of paint and some new furniture would spruce it up but really nice people, great location (I had dropped my son off overnight at Thorpe Park and wanted to be close by), walking distance to the high Street and lovely park, and excellent value for money. Want a sterile, impersonal place to stay? Pay twice as much and go to one of those corporate jobbies, prefer to have a warm welcome, pop down to the bar and a chit chat with the locals, then grab a room here. Basically, it was like rolling back the years and having a sleep over at your Gran's, only warmer!

Quick overnight stay for work, location is good with plenty of options for food in town nearby, as I say it's a budget room.

"Coach & Horses - not too bad :)"

6.0

The Coach & Horses is an honest pub with accommodation on the side. The staff were extremely welcoming and offered a friendly smile. Although a little tired looking, the room was clean and reflected in the price. I would certainly stay there again as the location was good.
