Le Alcove Luxury Resort nei Trulli

The hotel rooms had a great ambience. The hotel staff were excellent. Recommended and booked us an excellent dinner. Also assisted with parking the car. The breakfast was also excellent. The downside was that the room had no AC despite being advertised as having this. In the heat of summer that meant the room was uncomfortable. There were no windows and our trulli opened onto the street so it was not easy to leave the door open so the room was stuffy. Finally there was no shower, only a bath.

The hotel is really something out of the ordinary. We stayed in a cave room (all of the are), which was originally a church. It was huge (I would say 80 sqm), and very high ceilings. Still, very comfortable. And very stylish and appropriate decor. The staff was also very helpful and friendly, and seemed to be passionate about their job.

Beautiful hotel in an authentic Trulli. All the accommodations, nice fixtures, big bed, linens, toiletries. Incredible breakfast in a gorgeous morning area. Right off a sweet little piazza that isn't too busy when we went there, but steps away from the one section of historic Trulli 's. Walking distance to shopping, sightseeing, cafe's and restaurants. The hotel staff was so sweet, the arranged for parking, recommended restaurants, and booked a tour guide at my last minute request. The tour guide was very knowledgable and passionate about the area and the food, giving us insight into what life was and is like in that town and region. He gave us a very memorable tour of the Trulli and then we took ebikes out to the countryside for a delicious picnic with breathtaking view of olive trees and wildflowers.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble. Great location being very central but also quiet. Sleeping in a Trulli was a great experience and was very cosy with a surprising amount of room. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

Breakfast was amazing--one of the best free breakfasts we experienced in Italy. The ovally stay was just okay. The decor in the Trulli house is modern chic and doesn't really fit well with the atmosphere. No amenities in hotel other than breakfast area. Would have been nice to stay more true to the original style and living arrangements in these houses. Also, Alberobello really only deserves a quick stopover versus an overnight stay.

Perfect location! Not infested by tourists but steps away from wonderful local reastaurants, shops. I requested a kettle and it was immediately brought to my room. My single room was a true Trulli. Compact but tastefully done! Clean and quiet. The breakfast room was beautiful and offered the best a selections I have found in my travels in Puglia. Fresh cooked eggs too! I highly recommend this gem of a property!

Hotel staff were extraordinary, especially the manager, Catia. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and at ease. Starting with small details, such as the high quality of the soap and shampoo to the wonderful breakfast with excellent quality and terrific variety to the nature of the service (I had parked too far from the hotel as I hadn't seen the parking spot at the hotel, and someone went to bring my car to their parking spot).

Wonderful front desk staff. Lovely breakfast. Room was fun. Interior shaped like large trulli. Fresh fruit on arrival. Sweets in the evening.

this is an expensive/ poor value B and B, certainly not a luxury resort hotel. There are no facilities other than a small breakfast room. Parking is a nightmare, although the staff are willing to move their cars. The suite is just a room with a low sleeping loft with two more beds. Only one chair at the desk so not very comfortable. Breakfast was meagre. Of the four days we stayed there two had no orange juice although they did find some bottled from a mini bar ( no wonder most of the rooms were empty). Breakfast was slim pickings, 4 slices of salami for 6 guests, pre-cut cheese that kept reappearing each day as it got harder, and the usual cereal, yoghurt and fruit but not a very generous choice given the price of the room. the TV reception was poor with only 3 foreign channels ( one French, one German and the BBC)
