"For whatever reason I treated it as a hot spring resort, but it is a huge hotel with communal baths."

The room was quite good, and the view was amazing. Service was perfect.

Room HVAC control was very limited. Air purifier was working, but humidifier in it was completely inoperative. The chlorine smell from the baths.

"Traditional onsen experience"

Secluded and quiet. Dining kaiseki was amazing, with our own private dining room. There was free sake & juice tasting pre dinner. Embroidered onsen towels. Huge room with table and chairs and comfy beds. The fleece jackets were cool too.

The heating was a bit too warm so we turned it off. The curtains let in a bit of light.

"Exceptional"

The staff was amazing. I have tattooes and they gave me stickers to cover them to enjoy the onsen. The dinner and breakfast buffet was the greatest in my life. The hotel also offers the transfer from and to the train station on the check in/check out day. Also when the bus didn’t stop at the hotel, the staff would bring me with the car to the bus stop.

The location is very far from the city. The local loop bus usually stops at the hotel but this time due to road renovation I had to walk 15 min to get on the bus to the city which also takes around 30 min.
